We have had the bridesmaids, pageboy, bestman and 1 usher for ages but needed a second usher. Usher 1 is one of h2b's friends so I wanted oldest nephew who will be 17 at wedding to be other one. I had discussed this with my sister and she was quite negative saying he probably wouldn't want to be so much 'on show' at our wedding and may not want the responsibility or want to wear full suit. I was a little disappointed but said maybe it would be best to leave it till later this year and then ask him. Anyway, last night I was round there and he was asking if he had to wear a suit to the wedding. I told him he could wear whatever he was comfortable in. And then my sister said "WEll it depends - remember what we talked about" Nephew had biggest grin on his face and sister informed me that she had been talking to him about the role of usher and he was well up for it and he felt really pleased I wanted him to do that.
So now I have a full wedding party. Sorry for long story, just wanted to share.
