So here's my report, feel free to skip to the photo's if you like.
I think I won the award for 'most disorgansied hitcher'.... well I certainly lived up to that title!
The time went so fast, it suddenly went from having 3 weeks left to 3 days, and I still had OOS, favour boxes and table plan to make, finish off my Cinderella shoes and a whole heap of other things! Friday (the day before the wedding) just came around so quickly, and instead of spending the eve of my wedding relaxing and pampering myself I was running round like crazy, had my hair dyed at 1.30 am and finally went to bed at 3.30am, and still hadn't finished my shoes.
The wedding day -
I woke up at 6am having had 2 and a half hours sleep. Had a mad rush grabbing everything to take to my nan's where I was getting ready. Had my hair done at half 8, and then I went off to my make up appointment. I had originally booked a make up artist from MAC to come round to my nan's house to do my make up, luckily I called her the day before to check the booking, and she later called me back to tell me she had put me down for the following week!!! I found this out at 4.40pm on a Friday night, the day before my wedding whilst stuck in traffic. So I had a mad crisis, rang my MOH and somehow managed to make another appointment with a different MAC store, only they couldn't arrange to come out to me at such short notice so I had to go to their store. So on the morning of my wedding I was walking through a very huge and well known shopping centre with my hair all done and a tiara on my head - I got some strange looks!
I spent the rest of the morning trying to finsh off my shoes, even carried on when I had my dress on. I was sat on the settee with a big blanket over me, trying to superglue stupid little diamonds onto my shoe. I finally thought I was going to finish them, and I ran out of diamonds! So I had a tiny patch on my heel that wasn't finished, but wore them anyway!
The car got lost as OH (he says it was me but it wasn't!) gave the driver the wrong postcode for the church. So the BM car was late to come back and get me. The service went really quick. In the rehearsal OH had gotten his lines all mixed up, and fell over when helping me to kneel down during prayers. And I couldn't get his ring on! He has big knuckles and I couldn't get it on his finger, it was very awkward!
When we came out of the cchurch it was raining- typical! I had a bit of a diva strop because I didnt want to get wet and the photographer insisted on taking 00's of photo's.
The reception looked beautiful, the photographer was a bit of a nightmare though and we ended up running so late we couldnt do a recieving line, and the wedding co-ordinator had already let people into the main room! So before I knew it, it was about 5 o clock and we were waiting for the meals to be served (as a vegetarian who doesn't like vegetables I had a delicious macaroni cheese made especially for me). We had a pianist play throughout the breakfast and it added a really nice touch to the atmosphere.
The speeches were brillaint, OH wrote his on the morning of the wedding so I was shocked with how well he did.
The first dance was as awful as we expected!!! We just stood and swayed for a bit hoping that the ground would just open up! The party was really good, I had a Take That half hour ? (I looooved them when I was 10!) and it was sooo much fun!
ETA: I also lost my earrings so ended up running into superdrug and buying some for 99p!!
So here's some pics for you, we haven't got the professional ones yet so these are just friends pics.
Ok so I've got a bit O.T.T. with the pics but hey I only do a wedding report once! ? Thanks for looking!
