My wedding rings have arrived! - pics

teeheeyoucrazyguys!, 21 May, 2009 at 21:15 Posted on Planning 0 38

And I cannot decide!!

Its a nightmare. The first one is a curved D band, which matches the band of my ER underneath. I think its sneakily thinner than 3mm, maybe 2.5.

The second one is a flat court, 3 mm and matches the stones well.

On their own, the flat court makes more of an impact. The D-court is thin enuff to allow for an eternity, LOLOL.

If i go and take pics can I have some opinions?

I prefer the first one, it sits better with your engagement ring, but I might be biased because it's just like the one I'm picking up at the weekend! ?

I prefer the d court the first pics i think it sits better with your ring and of course the added bonus of an eternity ring at a later date is fab ?

I prefer the first one ...but, and I may be on my own here, but I think if I were you I'd go for a thinner wedding band to make sure your ER stands out in all its glory! (plus allows you to have a fab eternity ring!)

I think the second looks nicer with your engagement ring. That may just be cos it's similiar to the one I've chosen so I'm biased. For some silly reason I've always thought the wedding ring would be thicker than the engagement ring. Which one feels right?

See, OH think the flat court takes the bling outta the ER cos it appears thicker and shinier.... and HE preferes the first one tooooooooooooooo....

The first one is what I have been trying on in shops.... oh michty me, its difficult. Thank god I didnt go for a complicated/fancy design!

i'm off to look at the rings in my 'ring file' on my pc....

The second one looks too think against your e-ring so i would have to say the first one. I agree with Beccy Sprout in that i think a thinner one would look nicer.

Did i imagine you saying that you were thinking about having it cut out to fit your e-ring?

I like the first one too, it looks softer with your engagement ring - if you know what I mean - Nona are those your real nails?

Spring - i FEARED I would need to have my ring cut to fit my ER but he didnt ask me to post it back - phew so no..... I wont be having it cut to fit my ER.

Yes those are my real nails. Hard to believe I was a nail biter. Peed off that ones broken and that I'll have to cut them all back again but they took about a fortnight to grow to that length.

and finally I tink I have made my decish.

    (drumm roll)

as much as I love them both, I'm going to go with the FIRST one. Least I am at 7.45am. Might all be changed by the time I get home from school??!! I could try and get a thinner flat court but I dont think it would look the same thinner so ......

thank you sooooo much for your opinions, its really really helped me!!! Have a good friday and talk to ya when I get home at lunch time x

I have to say the 1st, it more feminine. I think flat ones are masculine, sorry in advance to the ladies who are having flat ones.?

I think with the 1st you can get away it on its own with er and in the future as you said eternity ring

    xx

    Hey Teehee,

I am going for the 2nd one, as you have princess cut ER I think the the flat band looks much better against it.

That was the worst bit! Going without my e-ring for a week so they could shape my wedding ring around it. I'm glad i did it now though.

I prefer the first one, I think it looks better with your ER.

Again, I think you could go for the slightly thinner one. When I got mine, it was amazing the difference the odd 0.5mm-1mm makes!

    Have you decided yet??

Well impressed with your nails, how did you get them to grow that much in 2 weeks??
