name cards

Hi everyone.

Whn you do the name cards for the tables, do you put surnames on them??

    We just did first names but i've seen both

    It totally depends on how formal your wedding is and if you will be including them on the table plan and if you wanted them to match.

    If you have more than one name eg/john on the table then I would either use surnames for all of the placecards or just initial the surname ie/ John S.

    If you are going to write surnames if they are long put it under the forename ie

    John
    Summerill

    Don't try to cram it all onto one line

    However, my personal preference is forenames as it looks less cluttered and more stylish

    I will probably only be doing first names because:

    1. I have just got some little picture frames to use as place cards and there might not be enough room on them.
    2. H2b cant be bothered to find out peoples surnames (peoples partners that aren't married etc!?)
