Name Cards For Children in Highchairs

cassmk2, 26 April, 2011 at 19:21 Posted on Planning 0 18

This may be a silly question but i have just thought, i am going to have 2 maybe 3 children in highchairs. Do you give them name cards on the tables? You do don't you? As i am typing this it seems an even sillier question to ask

I was planning to give them name cards. They'll be occupying a space at the table after all. I'm just not sure HOW to do their name cards as I was thinking about doing all the adults and older children a little tag attached to an organza bag with sweets in.

If i have enough left in the budget i was planning on having lottery ticket holders doubling up as name cards for the guests. But i would then have to do something separate for the children. Don't want to give them sweets as we are having a sweetie table. So i may just get the children plain name cards instead.

I did. I also have gift bags which were put on to their highchairs. Would you like to see a pic of the set up?

One of FIL's pictures, I have more from the official ones but would need to scale them down so if there's anymore you want to see then just give me a shout and I'll put a private album on fb for you. This was it set up for 85 so should give you an idea of layout. The top table was between the two pillars (which we were told can't be done but it was managed!)

Certainly! Give me a few mins and I'll make an album only you can see with table layouts.

I got the bags off eBay. We put bubbles, cheap Asda summer games (skipping ropes, skittles and the like), colouring books and pencils, sticker books, a teddy each (were only £2 in The Entertainer at the time), little connect 4 games and bits like that. Went down a storm.

Half hour and look for an album!

Brilliant! Thanks ever so much. It's really appreciated. Will give me time to drown the child in the shower and strap him into bed!! (only joking)

No problem. It's just uploading now and is called room layout or something or other. Lots of different angles for you!

I think i might buy bibs with the babies names printed on them instead of name tags.

Two months after my little boy was born we went over to Italy for a family wedding, there 'Harry' had his own place card, i thought it was so sweet, I kept the three of ours and actually put them in his 'memeory book'. Just a few weeks later we were at another wedding, a friend of ours, and there wasn't a place card for Harry, and silly as it may sound, i kinda felt it was cos he was so little, he didn't really count, iykwim? I thought having one in italy was a really lovely touch.

We're having wooden hearts made out of welsh oak for all of our guests, and having their names printed on them so they double up as place cards and favours, sneaky sneaky! x
