Name place labels - please flash me yours

29 February, 2012 at 10:45 Posted on Planning 0 21

Hi ya

Well I only have 41/2 weeks left and now I'm starting to panic!! If anyone can show me their name tags for tables that's be much appreciated, I'm running out of ideas and money! I have some cards that have a pattern and our names and date on and was going to punch holes in the corner and thread ribbon through then try to write names on neatly but TBH I hate my writing and they are too small to print onto.

Inspiration is much needed!!

Thanks

Mine look like this but in purple and they have our name and wedding date on the back. I got them off ebay (50 for £10.95) and I love them!

Have you got someone in the family with nice hand writing? My OH's Auntie is writing the names on for us as she can do calligraphy. xx

    This is the ebay link

But I have also ordered stuff from her website. She is really helpful and I have been so pleased with the things she has done.

Im having a kraft tag, tied with hessian and two springs of lavender per place. We're stamping the names with these individual letters to give it a really rustic feeling ?

Those of you lookinng for a cheap DIY way to make the butterfly's you can get a really lovely 3d butterly stamp from Cox and Cox for £12 that you could use https://www.coxandcox.co.uk/products/butterfly-punch

Ooooo I flashed mine earlier on another thread but any excuse! I made these during the week with brown tags bought from ebay, a wee bit of lace stuck on with clear glue and the the wee stickers. I'm going to write the names on with a deep purple calligraphy pen. Quite pleased!

Oooo sparkly I luuuurve yours! So pretty! And Kharv you'res are really cool too, specially if you love scrabble (like me lol).

I'm just having luggage lables tied to my favours (homemade chutney and jam), our stationer had offered to print some but I wanted something homemade so think I'm goin to go with that and I can write the persons menu choice on the back incase they've forgotton what they chose

Where did you get the scrabble tiles and the holders if you don't mind me asking. I wanted to do this but can't seem to find them at a decent price even on ebay.

We've had to get a bit creative.

We're buying lengths of this: https://www.wickes.co.uk/decorative-pine-moulding/p/162698/ and cutting to size.

I've bought the sets of wooden scrabble letters from China via eBay. I think the seller is called Bubble for Shopping or something like that. If you search for wooden scrabble tiles they'll come up. They took about 4 weeks to arrive though so I'd order in good time.

Many thanks, found the seller. I had ordered some of these

And some leather cord to thread them through. I was going to put them round the napkins or maybe round the bottom of the wine glasses but I much prefer the scrabble tile idea.

I know! I can't really decide now. Although the beads are cheaper. About £8 for 300 vs £10 for 100 scrabble tiles and I've already done about 20 of the names in beads now. I just wasn't sure how the beads would lay out on the table.

Actually, come to think of it. How are you keeping all the tiles together for setting out on the day? I'm thinking that could be quite a big task.

I think if you've already bought some of the beads I'd keep them. They're really nice.

I've used small food bags and bagged each individual name then pooped a little piece of paper stating what name is in the bag and what table they're on. Then I've bagged each table together too. Didn't take that long once I'd sat down to do it.

Having a bit of a think on how you could display the beads - could you string then onto quite a large piece of string then run them the length of the napkin a little bit like my completely rubbish picture below?
