Nausea remedies

HeidiHoHoHole, 3 December, 2008 at 16:28 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

I've had a pretty nasty flu type bug over the last week, today was the first day I felt able to do anything in the house so probably did a fair bit of stripping beds/washing etc. Now though, although the fluey feeling is finally lifting, the nausea is back worse than before.

Is it normal to feel nauseous like this? Is there anything I can do to stop feeling sick? Bleurgh.

Aww poor you. I've decided to avoid everyone I know for the next week or so as they all seem to be ill.

You've probably done too much before you are recovered so I'm not surprised you're feeling a bit rough now. I find chips from the chippy settle my stomach. Could you get your H to get you some, for medicinal purposes, and you have the double bonus of not having to cook tonight.

    Perfectly normal.

Do you still have a temperature ? Try taking a paracetamol to bring it down.

Otherwise, rest frequently and try to keep your fluids / blood sugar up.

Thank you both. Wizzy has had it badly too so I've not really had the best opportunity to rest. My temperature has only gone back to normal today, it's just the nausea that's stopping me in my tracks now.

I'll keep up with the flat pepsi/water and rest a bit more for now, I probably jumped the gun today with housework but I wanted to de-sick our bedrooms.

    Thank you ?

Ginger is really good for calming nausea. If you happened to have any chocolate with ginger in it that would give you energy and make you feel better. Medicinal innit.

Funnily enough, a lovely Irish fairy delivered ginger chocolate to my door this morning ?
