Necklaces (hibs)

Little.Miss-Scatterbrain, 6 February, 2009 at 12:42 Posted on Planning 0 8

When i flashed my dress there were a few who said a necklace with a drop at the back would go really well with it, do any of you have any examples of this?

Many thanks

Nice - I love necklaces that drop at the back! Don't often see them as the norm but I guess Purrfect Gems, Kerry Blu, Diamond Star Halo or Star Struck are four folk who spring to mind who'll likely be able to help! Just had a quick look on a couple of their sites and didn't see anything, but then you'd want a unique piece anyhow huh!! Not sure I saw your dress, but a drop of AB crystals would be uber sparkly!!!

    I do a range of back jewels - http://www.mangogems.co.uk/acatalog/Back_Jewellery.html

I've just finished a choker with a Tasha jewel and it looks fab.

It needs something round the front too whereas back drops tend to be chokers with a drop at the back, I would go for more around the cleavage area and leave the back.

    Hi,

It was me who said initially your dress would suit a backdrop. With your sweetheart neckline a necklace with a drop at the front would be really nice as well, like this design but not necessarily all in crystals.

Then a back drop to match your necklace is added to the back. Sorry but I don't have any piccies but I have made them for previous customers.

My website is www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk if you want to have a nosey at other designs. Feel free to email to discuss further.

Ahhhh - yes, I can see where that idea came from! Lush frock! I think it would be fab with a backdrop thingie - be a bit different and why not - people are staring at your back during most of the ceremony! No need to go to the extremes I did and go for a full back tatt to give folk something to look at!!! ?

I have to agree with 3D. I would go for a Y drop to sit in the sweetheart neckline and leave your gorgeous back bare to be admired.

The trouble with back drop necklaces is that they need a bit of weight around the front too to hold them in place or you will end up pulling it forward most of the day or like 3d said, ideally they work best with chokers.

Here is one I made with a back drop but there was also an equal amount of weight at the front. Think you'll only be able to see this if you have facebook so if not drop me an email and I will send it to you *****@*****************.**.**
