Need a huggle :(

Suzie&Karl, 29 June, 2010 at 07:51 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 16

Just feeling fed up today. I got up yesterday with a banging headache and felt poo all day, finished work early and lay on the sofa all night, fast asleep by 9.

Have got up this morning feeling 10 x worse!

Its all hormone related, i get it every month! So i am used to it.

Just now all i need is my period to come...have been waiting for a while now and stll hasnt come. So thats worrying me now.

No need to reply just needed to say how i feel.

x

Gah periods are horrid eh? Sounds like you're really suffering. I prescribe lots of rest, chocolate and cups of tea.

Men have it easy eh?? x

Rubbish! Don't feel guilty about the galaxy - you obviously needed it! I'm dragging my fat arse to the gym tonight - baked some cookies at the weekend and ate a couple yesterday and they are HUGE. Grr I have no will power at all.

Make sure you don't work too hard today! x

Aww you really suffer don't you? Have you looked into seeing a herbalist or similar - worth a go if nothing else

I know evening primrose is meant to sort symptoms of PMS, but it also reacts funnily with the pill. I'm not sure about other things tbh, but I thught as the doc has been a bit unhelpful, it might be an idea to look elsewhere. My friend suffers with depression and has taken a magnesium calcium mix for that, as it's hormonal you could try that?

Sorry to crash your thread Suzie, I haven't been on for a while. How are you? Have you had any luck finding a house?

ah its ok babe Smiley smile

We have short listed it to 3 houses. We are going to view them again tomorrow to put them in order of favourite. All have there pros and cons. Then we'll make an offer early next week on house 1 Smiley smile but i said to OH, dont get too excited cause if an offer is accepted, its not for definate until we get a completion date.

Strange to think this time next week we could be 6 weeks away from getting the keys to our first house!

    Hi Suzie,

I'm a bit late to this sorry. I used to suffer terribly with Pre-Menstrual Migraines (I would get flu like symptoms and would feel dreadful), so much so that I was missing up to 2 days of work a month. I went to the doctor about it and they changed my pill, touch wood since then I've been fine and that was about 18 months ago

Hope you're feeling better now x

Hey, no worries about the late reply Smiley smile

I had my pill changed the start of last month so i have had a period since then. I did still get a mild headache, but it was ALOT better than i was used to, the ones i got lasted like a whole week but this just lasted a couple of days and i could get on with things rather than living in my bed!

    Hope your ok x

Those that are on the pill that still suffer... Can you not just run more packs together so you don't experience your symptoms as often? Obviously you would need to speak to someone about it first but I'm deliberately on a low dose pill so that I can run 3 packs together without having a break. I love it!
