Need help finding a reception venue in or around Hertford/Ware

Hertford Castle is very very small, and the rest on the list are not that local.

I'll put my thinking cap on and post back tomorrow. What type of venue are you considering?

I know of one restaurant about 1 mile out of Hertford that may be able to handle 150 (and obviously has a bar etc, and would allow exclusive use), but will try to get a short list tomorrow.

Yay someone is getting married in the same area as me!! We are getting married in All Saints in Hertford and having our reception at Fanhams Hall in Ware which caters for 130 for breakfast and 170-200 for evening so that might not be quite big enough for you for the breakfast.

We did look at Brickendonbury just outside Hertford but it depends on the time of year of your wedding - in the summer, they have a marquee which is set in a lovely location but during the autumn and winter months it's just a room in the house which wasn't anywhere near as nice.

It depends how far "far" is for you really, there are others that we looked at:

Three Lakes

Hanbury Manor

Tewinbury

Tewinbury farm is gorgeous, the only thing is there can be up to 3 weddings going on at the same time (you each have a barn!!)

Ooh, lovely! I was there a couple of weeks ago to meet a florist at about 5pm - the scent of the flowers walking through the grounds was incredible and everything looked so beautiful, you will have an amazing wedding day!

Fanhams Hall is STUNNING - I love it! Played there last Christmas for a wedding and I loved every minute.

WOW just looked at Farnham halls website it really does look amazing, would you mind me asking about how much your paying for the reception?? cant decide at the moment weather or not to have seperate venues for ceremony/reception or do all in one if that makes sense
