Need help with make up

littlelady01, 26 August, 2010 at 22:20 Posted on Planning 0 5

So i'm not very confident when putting on make up and wear the bare minimal on special occassions, so i think i would prefer someone else to do make up for my wedding but am on a very tight budget and Mum would also like someone to do her make up as well. So would be greatful if you any suggestions or recommendations I live in middlesex and mum lives in putney.

The one thing i will say is if you're used to being very minimalistic when it comes to make up - keep it that way but just go up a notch. Choose very neutral colours and go for a natural lip stain or gloss. If people nd your H2B aren't used to seeing you with make up, you don't want a face with the full works as it may look OTT to them. My friend was like you and had her make up done and it just didn't look like her IYKWIM, she looked unnatural and as though it had been put on with a hose, when infact it was light. Just cos we weren't used to seeing her with it meant it looked heavy on her.

Ok thanks Sloan-R, when i say minimalistic i wear eye liner, mascara, foundation and lip gloss. The problem is which i should have mentioned before i suffer from eczema on the face so would like someone who knows what they are doing to help cover it up cos i know i'll probably have a huge breakout before the wedding as stress triggers it.

Firstly, make sure you don't get stressed !!!! Honestly, there is no need to if everything is planned and if anything does happen, there's not much you can do but just deal with whatever comes along. So don't stress.

I would swear by using Dinair airbrush make up. They have a paramedical range for problem skin/tattoo covering etc. Although it is airbrush make up, you can put it on with your fingers but you have to work fast as it dries really quick and it's best to do 1 section of the face at a time because it dries so quick. If you can afford an airbrush you'd get a cheap one for about £30, this would be fine.

It will give you THE best coverage and most A-MAZ-ING flawless skin ever.

A tip is to buy it off e bay.com as it's about $12, buying it here they'll prob charge more.

I used to live in Putney too! Loved it there... Anyway, I used to get my hair done at Headmasters down by the bridge, and ladies used to go in there all the time for consultations on wedding day hair styling; I'm very sure the staff there would be able to recommend make-up people too if you asked. They're really friendly and lovely.
