Need hen night advice!

Nic_Nic, 3 June, 2012 at 15:33 Posted on Planning 0 9

Ladies I need some advice! My MOH is planning my hen but were deciding together what I want to do but I need suggestions for something not too expensive?! I quite fancy something relaxing maybe spa/treatments but also would like a nice meal and/or night out!! I've seen people talking about cottages and seen a bit on Internet about cottages/houses that you can rent with added extras, like treatments activities or chefs to prepare dinner party! Anyone used any of these places? Or just generally got ideas for me any advice is helpful! X

I was looking at sleeps12.com they have amazing big cottages with the option for extras to come to the house for stuff.

In the end we didn't go with it, my friends couldn't commit to a whole weekend or the cost so we've gone with a weekend but chunked into sections so people can just come to a meal, or just come for the day etc.

Hello Nic Nic, I've booked a cottage for my Hen Night, from Fri-Sun lunch. To help with the cost i've: - Devised an all inclusive price. This involves the cost of accommo, activitities, all foods, petrol and alcohol. So, although it comes to £189pp that's literally for everything, no other money needed. - I've worked out a payment schedule and divided it so in the crucial months like Xmas, they girls payment is less than other months. - I've given them 16 months notice! - Although our house sleeps 14, the owner says they'll have guest beds by then increasing it's capacity. Also, i've had friends really want to come so much they've offered to sleep on airbeds. So i've invited 19 girls, which has meant the cost is lower, I think it works out about £69pp for 2 nights in the house, before activities. Now, obviously I do appreciate not all will be able to afford my choice; however, I really wanted something parents and older siblings would feel welcome to come to. My mum is 60+ and she wouldn't have gone out raving round town! Alipops x

    AliPops,

Sounds like you've thought of everything!! That's what I'm thinking family members aren't going to want to want to hit the town and I've got a younger who's my bridesmaid and id like her to be involved. Would you mind me asking where it is your stayin and what activities you've booked? X

How many people will be attending?

We hired a house for one of my hen dos. A gorgeous country house in about 6 acres of land. We had 21 people staying from Friday to Monday and it was about £100 per person. The only other bits to pay were petrol, alcohol and food. I estimated that everyone paid about £160 all together.

It had in indoor pool, hot tub and sauna.
