Need Hitched Goodluck vibes please.

freb2reh, 16 July, 2012 at 15:38 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

Ok, I need some good luck vibes please!

I have just found out I have a job interview tomorrow for a job as a teaching assistant. I have only just recently completed my course and passed with a great result. The thing is, as having been a stay at home mum for the last 17 years or so, it will be my first interview in eons. Subsequently, I am very, very nervous!

If anyone has any top tips as well, well that would be great.

so, go on, vibe me up guys, please!

Oh eck! Well, I am quite a patient, laid back sort of person. So, maybe I could say somethng like 'I am not easily flustered' but as for my worst, I haven't a clue. As I would be working with children I will need to give this some thought. Thanks flo.

And thankyou everyone else. I am not expecting to get much sleep tonight!

Also try and think of an example of when you've faced a difficult situation and how you dealt with it. I always get asked that.

No tips, I'm afraid, as I'm not a good interviewee - but good luck! Sending lots of vibes to you.

They might ask you how you would deal with a child who would refuse help or how you would deal with one who was disruptive. (calm, patient, keep reiterating the importance of what you are doing etc, maybe have yourself as a whole class TA so the child refusinghelp doesn't feel singled out). They might also ask you about how you would build up relationships with the teachers -ask to see schemes of work, ask each teacher yo are working with what their expectations are - i.e. are they happy for you to hand out sanctions/rewards, do they want you to circulate the class or sit with a particular student etc.

    Good luck!
