    Amazing grace

    Lord of the Dance

Well we're having Morning Has Broken, Sing It In The Valleys and Give Me Joy In My Heart. Also, we're having amazing grace when we're signing the register Smiley smile

We are yet to decide on something for when everyones coming in! Eek!

    We are having 3:

One more step along the world I go - chosen by my Gran as I used to sing it alone in church

Shine Jesus Shine - Reminds me and OH of being young and at school

Amazing grace - chosen by OHs Gran as her fave hymn.

I also like "How great thou art" but my nan says its usually used at Funerals Smiley sad

We are having Morning has Broken and Give me Joy in My Heart. They are not the most original but we wanted to pick hymns that our friends would know so that they sing and don't just mumble the words! Also Give me Joy in my Heart is my grandma's favorite.

I often play the hymns for ceremonies. One check I always do is the number of verses and the version required. I love 'All things bright and beautiful'....its really uplifting....but did you know there are three different well known tunes for it, so worth checking which one everyone uses. 'Give me joy in my heart' has a varying number of verses.

I made that mistake Sandy at our wedding! One of the hymns we chose was Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God Almighty but I wanted the upbeat version and the organist played the sloooowww version which is played at funerals - he got a glaring scowl from me at the altar!

I'm definately going to have Love Divine, All Loves Excelling as i really like it plus my parents had it at their wedding too. All the others suggested so far are really good choices too!
