Need Present ideas for H2B

Alcie, 19 October, 2008 at 00:30 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi,

I had bought my h2b a little gift for our wedding day, but he's just spilled the beans on what he's bought me. It's incredibly thoughtful, romantic and wonderful and I can't help feeling my cufflinks and hanky aren't going to tick the box.

We're both musicians and perform together a lot but there isn't a lot of repertoire for his first instrument (organ) with mine (soprano). He's commissioned four songs from famous contemporary composers! And written a fifth himself! I ought to be really annoyed at how much it will cost but I'm so bowled over by what an incredible gesture it is that I can't possibly be anything other than touched to the point of tears.

But now what? He got a watch from his folks for his 18th that he still wears and doesn't drink spirits so an engraved hip flask is pretty irrelevant to him.

And here's the crunch - the wedding's three weeks on Saturday. Eeek!

Any inspiration girls?

Alcie xx

    Hi,

What are you doing after the wedding? My fella and I cant go on honeymoon for a couple of months after, due to his work, so I have booked 4 nights in Paris for a suprise for him, as a mini honeymoon. A mini break or something? unless you are going straight on honeymoon.

Or what about one of those days you can book, driving a sports car/bike, hot air ballooning, something that he might of always wanted to do?

    HTH?

Wow what a lovely present he is getting you!

H2B and I are getting a joint present for each other. We are going to have a star named together. so that is my suggestion lol It is not a physical gift (although you do get a certificate and all of that and the location your star is in so you can find it) but I think it is a really romantic idea and you can have it named just after him or you can name it with both your names and the date of your marriage....

Gosh, all of those are nice pressies.

Other than pants and socks.... I've got H2B some new aftershave and I did him a photobook of our past photos together, kind of "the story so far" to bring back some memories on the morning of the wedding.

Oh... and a silver love heart token ?

I am buying H2B a necklace with a pendant which I will get the wedding date engraved on - something special and personal to him that he can always wear.
