Ok, so i finally got OH to sit down and talk wording for the ceremony today (he was a 2 on the helpfulness scale ) as we are in Scotland we have a fair bit of say in the words we want the registrar to use and in particular we wanted to use our own definition of marriage bt i'm not sure how to reword what i'd like into the right format
i would like to use the Dr Suess quote
We’re all a little weird. And life is weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness—and call it love
i also like one of the options they have given us and thought about using a part of it to make the following - what do you think? does anyone wh is good at this kind of thing think they could reword it better?
Marriage joins two people who trust the love they have found. It is a statement to all those around them, of something the tw of them already know, that we're all a little bit weird and that life is weird. And when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible to ours, we join with them and fall into mutually satisfying weirdness and call it love.
Would there be a problem with part of it being a quote?
