Needed - a short, simple reading

MrsM*LZ, 24 July, 2013 at 11:08 Posted on Planning 0

Can anyone give me some examples of readings that would be suitable for a teenage boy (13) to read in church?

I'm trying to get my 2 male cousins involved (other is 6) so was thinking the younger one could walk down the aisle with my little flower girl (also cousin so they know each other well) but thought this might be a bit to 'little' for the teenager so thinking he could do a reading.

Just wanting to find something that isn't too long or too difficult - we really like 'Love is patient, love is kind etc' and just wondering if that would be suitable or something else if anyone can suggest anything?

Many thanks! ?

    Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
9 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour:
10 If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity
anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord
of three strands is not quickly broken.

    Short, and not too soppy.
