Hello hun, and welcome to Hitched! Congratulations on your recent engagement

I am too a May 2011 bride, we get hitched on the 28th. We have booked the church, reception (including food etc), decor, cars, photographer, picked 2 dresses, Fiance has is 95% si=ure he knows what suits he's having, BM's,PB's, and usher are all asked and accepted, and the Bestman and Best 'little' man have also accepted.

So all is gravy lol x

Welcome to hitched almost date twin!!! we're getting married may 7th and have got quite a lot of things sorted already. we';re all very nice here and give eachother loads of advise about everything!! xx

I have no idea if I am replying to everyone's post here or to my own lol, wasn't sure what to click on! Thanks so much for your lovely replies. I get married at my local church and have the reception at Oulton Hall in Oulton Leeds. ! I think we have just about booked a DJ and pianist as there is a grand piano in the entrance at Oulton (ha ha very posh hey!). I had a baby three months ago so I have rather a lot of weight to lose before I am going to try any dresses on but I have seen so many Pronovias/Maggie Sottero one's that I love. I also love Dessy bridesmaid dresses but as most of the budget is going on the venue I think they may be a little too expensive for me, especially as I have five adult bridesmaids!! I loook forward to getting to know you all x

Your venue sounds lovely, I live in the North East now but am from Leeds originally and lived there until I was 18 so am always a bit jealous of people who get to get married there ?

you're the day before me! (curly panda i'm your twin or more like quad lol think ours is the most popular date so far!)

we started only about 3 weeks ago and it's been full steam ahead, got church dress, BM's dresses and ring, and booked our reception venue yesterday!!

Yay i have a date twin!!! i have sorted so much lol. dress, tog, venue, tables decs, have given notice, chosen bm's dress and hair accesories, chosen colour scheme, fabric etc etc!!

Hi, Helen, welcome and Congrats!! I am a fellow Leeds bride and getting married at Harewood House in Dec 2011!

I was ill last year and gained 4 st!!! I was a size 10-12 and now a 16 and also thought it was too early to try dresses on but succumbed yesterday - see my post "First Dress Hunting Trip with flash" LOL... My MoH is pregnant as we speak and due 14th Aug so she is also determined to lose the baby weight by next year for the BM dress she wants... (I only decided on the colour I wanted and the only Bridezilla decision I held my BMs to was that they decide on a design and wear same design - they're both same size-ish).
