Ok this will be my last date change lol, fed up of changing it recently. if it doesnt suit anyone now i am beyond caring. can i please be changed to the 30th of july? finally booked it. also booked photographer and caterer, designed invited and stds and am going dress shopping in 2 weeks =D feeling very organised when i didnt mean to do it all this quick lol

Lol, i don't know how it happened. i didnt mean to book it all. went to see the venue (gorse lodge, stubton) and then she put me in contact with the caterer (who i'm worried i deleted an email from cos it may hav gone in my junk mail =S) and my dad found the photographer and i happened to be in skeg to meet him so i booked him cos he wont charge for travel and i'm getting this years prices =D was messing around online with invite designs and just found one i like so stuck with it lol. and going for my dress so soon cos the lady is wanting to wind down the dress side of her business and she has some real bargins so getting in whilst she still has a lot of choice

K Jackson - sounds great, its nice when things just work out. I have booked both my venues and the photgrapher.

Does anyone else just wish time would hurry up a little so we can start organising more stuff - lol, maybe I'm just impatient x

Lol i cant wait!! i'm just doing what i feel like doing atm. if i end up doing it all now then saves more stress later. a lot of people i've spoken to understand why i'm booking so early and don't mind. been lucky so far lol. hate it when i say 2011 and they look at me like well why r u here now

ive been thinking that as well.. although i cant really buy anything as have no where to store it so what i have done is had fun looking at everything on the internet and deciding what we want that way we know next year we can start buying stuff and wont have to look around before..

Hi everyone gosh u all seem so organised i thought it was all too early but i guess we all got a lot of things to think about and decide on lol.

We have set our date 13th aug 2011. and we cannot get viewings at places till nov 1st and sum of our top venues are fully booked until may and june 2011 so i suppose i have to pull my finger out just not sure where to start any ideas until we have seen our venue???? xxx

Thats what I'm doing as well, all the 'research' so to speak, shortlisting etc.

Got a folder on the go with ideas etc, for each different category.

Doesnt help we're gettign married a good 3 hours drive from where we live! So am enlisting the inlaws to be for help, and they're being great.

Are you going to have a theme of sorts? Thats a good starting point.

First thing we did was work out approx numbers. Then I made up my folders. Sorry, am bit anal when comes to organising....

Ahh thanks bluebutterfly im not sure on the whole theme side of it lol as h2b is wanting to wear his household cavalry uniform and just not sure exactly which one he will wear yet. Think he decided on his red one at the mo and i just cant decide on colours or themes to go with it any suggestions would be good. Also talking numbers of guests i have fallen in love with a venue i always said i would get wed in from being a child and im not sure how many guests it can accomodate until i have my viewing in nov.

I think this is all going to be hard decisions lol xx

were luckily weve decided that we are getting married in our town so not too bad there but on a really really tight budget so searching for venues at the moment.. grrr..

s2bmrsnardini - i have to say i am finding the worse bit searching for a venue.. our 1st choice was already booked up for that day.

Think all venues are expensive. We looked at 3, just turned up without an appointment,best thing to do really. One venue couldnt even be bothered to show us around.

Bless ya.. Internet is fab for researching.. Ive found loads of places that i didnt know even existed from there..

we are hoping to get married in chesterfield if we can find a venue for the reception.. If not im not sure what we are going to do.. We are hoping to go and look at another venue week after next once kids r back at school and we have come back from holiday so will see what thats like and then decide..

We saw a venue we loved but they couldnt do the day we wanted so we decided against it.. We want to get married over easter weekend as it makes it easier for everyone who is travelling...

This will be my second marriage, but my first wedding was very small and I didnt do it the way I wanted as I was very young . So this time its the right man, and Im going to go OTT, and just GO for it! Am very exited, are you?

my h2b has decided he wants to be married in his red army uniform. It is really red and gold with black pants with a red stripe down them this wont go with the coulor scheme i had in mind of latte/mocha/ivory. Im getting married 13th aug 2011 and i dont think red will go in aug please share any ideas im totally stuck thanks all xx

Red combines ok with mocha etc in a certain shade I suppose.

Otherwise red rose theme?? Lots of red roses around in August. Red hearts??

i did think of red and white just wasnt sure weather aug would pull off red maybe winter or valentines day???? im trying to get him to wear his blue one for daytime then he can get changed on night time lol
