Just popping in to say hello to all the 2011 people and to see how everyone's getting on with the planning. We're still trying to book a photographer but I'm struggling to build up much enthusiasm as I'm so busy with work and don't want to spend all my spare time on weddings!

Have got venue, harpist, photographer, videographer, chocolate fountain hire and my dress all sorted out..........I'm a planner, don't like the stress of leaving things to the last minute!

Harris1 - Wow you are organise! I'm getting married in the April and i have done nothing apart from book my venue and tried a couple of dresses on. I keep thinking its too early too be doing stuff. Hows everyone else getting on with there 2011 weddings, am i the only one thats not really started??

Fancy organising my wedding as well??

After booking church and venue got a bit complacent. However, now have photographer come round on Saturday as he happens to be in the area. I'd emailed a few for info. Only problem is, won't we kind of feel obliged to go with this person, if he goes through the trouble of coming to us on his weekend away ??

Never mind, at least feel I'm doing something useful.

weve come to a standstill but mainly cause we cant book the venue until the new year.... ive done loads of research on things I would like and will start sorting bits after the new year I think...

not sure what to say bout the photographer I wouldnt feel obliged though, if he is already in the area its not extra cost to him..

hope everyone is ok and the wedding plans are coming along nicely...

I have made my tester wedding DVD invite and I must say I am really proud of it! Just going to pay a few deposits this side of the year but with the year mark rapidly approaching I am already panicing! God knows what I'll be like closer to the time!

With regards to your photographer, to be honest thats probably his game but just stick with your instincts. I think photos is not the area to take risks!

Makes it all the more real. Booked the 'Deluxe' package, for which you get a full days service and a photo/ story book thing, looks lovely.

Things have got a lot more expensive since my first marriage btw!

It's difficult knowing what to plan and when. I've got a mountain of magazines and reeeeeeeeally want to get the planning going but then is it too soon to start that and should I wait a while?? Arrghh, what to do??

All Gold, is it too soon to start planning? Well, each to their own, really. Depends on what you want and how popular it is. Certain venues book up quickly I believe.

I like planning and lists, yes I know it's a bit anal, but I am really worried about the few months before we get married and all the stuff which needs doing then. So am going to do as much as possible before those months, to take as much pressure of it as I can.

yeah it sure was i couldnt believe it soooo pleased i went when i did. I am getting married in a church then the rest is at a place called close house in northumberland it the venue i always said i would want as a wedding reception from being little. god its finally sinking in that im getting married im going to be 29 at the time and i never thought i would ever find the one person to marry. cant wait xxx hows ur plans cumin along??xx

Ah yes BlueButterfly, you are right. We're off to a wedding fair tomorrow so we'll get a heap of ideas and go from there. All of a sudden it seems very real!!
