We've booked the church and have the reception venue in mind. It's a village hall so they don't get many bookings so we don't have to rush too much.

i went to wedding fayre yesterday and am getting excited now but seenm 33 dresses and didnt like any oops

We have got the venue, getting married and having reception in the same place, hoping for a nice day so we can get married outside in the gardens.

We have also booked the minister and the band for to reception and going to see photographers on friday so hopefully will have a photographer by the weekend. Thats the main things done then and can enjoy the little things and start saving some money to pay for it all.

Ive got my shoes and love them to bits but not even been to look at dresses yet.

Where bouts are u? Im in Scotland.

I dont know about anyone else but my ticker is on fast forward!!!

When I joined on here I had over 22 months to go and now have just over 16 months... its going by so quickly

I just need to pay the deposit on my dress, the deposit on the Honeymoon and book the rings and then just the little bits and bobs thereafter... (3 pages of watched items on ebay dont help) lol..

I'm in London but think I'm the only one.

Our contract with the venue should be drawn up this week. We have our church, photographer, DJ, Cake maker, Make up artist. I am just trying to decide on a videographer (please see my other post if you want to help me decide)

I got engaged in December so it doesnt feel like time is going too quickly for me at the moment.

Am starting to buy little things from now so they come out of my salary not the wedding fund.

Good heavens 3 date triplets where did they come from haha!!!

Wow! I'm really impressed, you're much more organised than I am. What's your venue like? Did you look at many?

The shoes are the most important bit! I've not looked at any dresses yet, but I have ideas in mind (plus I'm hoping to tone up a bit before I try dresses!)

I'm in Berkshire but getting married in Surrey.

Too be honest we only looked at the venue we have booked. There not loads to pick from where we live and i didnt wana have to pay for everone to travel.

Mine is like a country house hotel. Nice grounds and scenery and only a few miles away from where we live and the price fitted our fairly tight budget. We are paying it all ourselves but got 2 young kids and a morgage to pay for. We been engaged since 2005!

Hi yummymummy, I thought i was behind on all my planning as people who are getting married later in the year seem to have a lot more done than myself:

All I have so far is:

Venue deposit paid, Registra pre booked and deposit paid, Photographer penciled in but not booked same as florist, and I have bought my shoes without even looking at dresses let alone tried any on.

I have all my invites made up and centre piece vases purchased.

I just don't know where to go next as I seem to be getting on peoples nerves when I mention anything as over a year still to go.

Dont let ppl unmotivate you i have seen loads of post on here who have done loads more than me and the clocks ticking.

Only just about to book venue and caterers...we've been waiting for the right time to get money together. I got a little bit of luck come my way, so all is go now!

I have a theme etc, and loads of ideas. Theme is English country garden/summer fete! Main colour is pale Turquoise, with all the other pastel colours thrown in!!!

I have seen a couple of dresses in debenhams that i like but until i go trying on i'm staying open minded.

My shoes are from next they are ivory with a butterfly on them (goes with theme very well)

i was wanting to start dress trying on but my moh was busy.

My hen night so far is just a night around town with a few mates but my h2b and i are gonna have a meal together with both parents as a mini hen and stag do, and to finalise the details.

I know i cant do anything now till nearer th time bht its all the excitement that i want to do it.

Next stage though is to go DRESS SHOPPING. lol

Im giddy with excitment cant wait to try some dresses on

I wasn't sure if I'd have a date twin with the wedding being on a Friday. We've got the church and reception venue booked as well as the TOG. Florist is sorted too as it's one of my BM's Mum. Your theme sounds lovely, just right for a wedding at the height of summer. I'm really struggling with the theme and colours. I've got a few ideas but finding it hard to pull them altogether and then I keep finding something else and changing my mind. Think I'll be able to do more once the theme/colour is decided!! ?
