New date for us

Hi,

some of you may remember we had to postpone as OH's mum died very suddenly 4 days before the wedding.

We have been trying to re-arrange and it looked like it might be 26th September for a while. However my brother and his wife move back from abroad on that day so I said we would move it back a week so they could attend (travelling up from Glocs as well). It then turned out that the week after was the 3rd October, OH's parents wedding anniversary.

So we asked his dad what he thought, and he said he thought that OH's mum would have been over the moon with that, and he is fine with it.

So...

3rd October here we come.

    Thanks Nicky, tbh I haven't really been motivated with any wedding stuff since it all happened, till not really in the right frame of mind, but needed to get the ball rolling again.

    It will be an emotional day whenever we have it, and I would like to think that his mum will be smiling down on us on the day.

    Thats lovely that you can get married on their anniversary. Hopefully you will be able to celebrate her on your day although she will not be able to be there to celebrate with you.

    Thats fantastic that you are getting married on their anniverary, im getting married on my Parents Pearl wedding anniversary which i think is a good omen!!

    We are doing ok, not brilliant, really just trying to power through it I think. OH is trying to be strong but I can tell he is feeling the strain.

    We'll get there, I hope.

    Like you said Fozzy, it'll be an emotional day whenever it is but I think sharing it with their anniversary is a lovely way to celebrate their lifes together as well the start of your married life together.

    I think that's a really lovely date to reschedule for. Just awful you've had to reschedule in the first place.

    Ohhh Fozzy. I'm really pleased to hear that you're still getting married this year.
