New Doctor Who companion

I too am reserving judgement until it starts. I would have liked to have seen a male companion, or maybe someone older, to balance things up a bit.

I think that Matt Smith is going to be quite an interesting Doctor, and hopefully his age will become irrelevant. The character is over 900 years old, so age of the actor shouldn't be a factor.

Personally I agree with you. I was hoping for an older companion, or a bloke. I guess they will see how this pans out then decide whether to add someone else into the mix at a later stage.

I was disappointed when Catherine Tate was announced as the next Companion, and she turned out to be my favourite one so far, so I'll reserve judgment on the new girl. I'm still reserving judgment on Matt Smith as well, come to that! ?

I'm reserving judgement until it airs. As others have said, I thought I'd hate CT but ended up loving Donna. Also I think MS came across well in his recent interviews in Cannes so am more hopeful than I was for him initially.

Still not sold on MS though. He has some verrrry large shoes to fill.

They both look about 12 though. I am used to the Doctors being older than me, not younger ?
