Hi, hopefully will be coming on more often as I need lots of support. I have half my body weight to lose in total, been trying on and off for years.

Joined WW in Jan, only lost 6 1/2 pounds.

So first goal, going on holiday 3 & half week, I have just bought a lovely pair of trousers from Monsoon, they fasten but not very easily, Can it be be done, in 3 and half week if im really good can I get my trousers to feel more comfy.

Im sure i'll be asking loads more Q's in the coming days / weeks, and look forward to getting to "know" you

    Hello

My clothes feel looser after doing this for 2 weeks and losing 9.5lb in that time. If the trousers fit but are just a bit tight, then I think that it is do-able if you stick to the plan for those 3 weeks. ?. I've got a holiday coming up soon too, so I'm aiming to lose some more weight by then and then buy a new swimsuit just before we go (in 7 weeks time).

6.5lb is a great loss for one month.

    Are you doing any exercise?

Well, i try to do a bit, but tbh im too big to do a lot. I try to go on Wii Fit, or do a bit of an exercise video or swim or walk, Going to make an effort to try to do some regular.

I do have a very very lively 2 and half year old boy to run about after, and with working and stuff struggle to find time (that sounds like an excuse I know).

Too big is not an excuse - trust me (if you haven't read any of my previous posts I took up running when I weighed 23 stone ?) Doing exercise will make losing weight and keeping it off far easier.

What BGB aid - 6.5lb is a great loss for a month.

I know what you mean about having time to exercise - I used to think I was too tired after looking after a 6 month old, having little sleep etc. I now force myself to do 30 mins on a crosstrainer in the evenings. (I tried running,as it's free, but I loathed it). I've lost 16lb since Jan 1st. I've never really exercised before - only dieted - and have never lost anywhere near 16lb. I still have a long way to go, but the regular exercise is the key. The steady weight loss then acts as a motivator and I keep going.

Could you spare 30 mins after your LO is in bed - or do you have someone who will look after him in the evening for half and hour?

MrQ started running to lose weight. He was 6 stone overweight, so to echo Baron again, being too big is not an excuse!

Thanks for all your responces, Yep, I know being too big is not really an excuse.

I could sneak half and hour after O has gone to bed, will have to resist teh temptation to come on the laptop.

this is the hardest part of losing weight for me! ?

In fact, I must get off my (less) lardy ass and get on the crosstrainer ....humph!

I don't know your circumstances, but is exercising first thing in the morning an option for you? I know for me, the end of the day is vegging time and if I'd just got a child to bed I'd want to slump in front of the telly with wine!
