New 'Replacement' Dress - So Relieved - Flash!

MAG2FMC, 17 May, 2012 at 13:19 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hello everyone!

As I posted previously, I had a major problem with a pre-loved dress that I purchased, involving stains, shoddy alterations, etc. I've been on the hunt for a replacement, as I'm not sure with the timing if the stains can be successfully removed and the alterations fixed. And, I've been really stressed, because our budget doesn't really allow for a second, new dress purchase, and I've been majorly stressed about it. In any event, I had also budgeted for a separate reception dress so that I could dance comfortably, so my plan was to nix the reception dress and put that budget towards a replacement to help alleviate the cost .... but the replacement that just arrived today will work for BOTH if the first dress isn't fixable! Best thing is that the 'replacement' was £285! Personally, I consider that a steal and was right within my budget for a reception dress. Also, the material and quality are REALLY GOOD. I was a little afraid, but when the dress arrived today I realized it is worth way more than the price paid. I don't even need to get it altered, except for MAYBE the length, and that's just personal preference. I may also add a sash or belt if I use it for the ceremony. Here are some photos of models + real people. Sorry, I'm so excited + relieved that I just had to share!!!

For anyone looking for a dress, this is made by Kitty & Dulcie (http://www.kittyanddulcie.com). They just launched last Fall, so only have 5 designs, but that includes 2 longer length ones.

Gorgeous dress, particularly like the way it looks in the bottom picture. Looks more sticky outy, proper technical term there!
