New thing to stress about....

Panjita, 6 April, 2011 at 14:05 Posted on Planning 0 16

UNDERWEAR!!!! I don't like any of it. To start with, I hate strapless bras, they are so uncomfortable (but I have no choice as the dress is strapless). I don't want a basque, I don't want to wear stockings OR suspenders. BUT, I want to look really sexy for my man on the night, Do you think it would make a difference if I bought something for comfort to wear during the day and then changed into something sexy just before bed time!?

Also I'm really small chested so need a bit of 'help' but dress is strapless so I have NO clue what to do, what to buy. How can you give your cleavage a boost in a strapless bra?

Anyone got any tips, what did you wear, what do you plan on wearing...

Can't help on the bra as I have boobs to spare and am going braless as my dress is so structured they literally have nowhere else to go! Could you wear a strapless bra and add chicken fillets? You can add a clip inside your dress so you can clip your bra to your dress and it holds it together so there is no "gape".

I considered changing into sexy undies at night but to be honest, I'm gonna need his help to get my dress off and it seems a bit pointless to then run off and put underwear on LOL! (Sorry if TMI!)

I was going to do this too, I thought you could go braless in your gown but if you want a boost chicken fillets could work but they do make your boobs perspire!

My dress is boned so I'm just wearing comfy pants during the day and planning to change into something sexy in the hotel room later on. Its a long day to be wearing uncomfortable underwear through. I know lots of brides save their bridal underwear for the honeymoon, but I want to end the day properly! I have warned OH not to drink to much to be able to 'perform' on threat of annulment.

You mentioned your dress is strapless, is it boned or structured enough for you to go without a bra?

This is somthing I didnt get to bothered about, I bought a lovely set out of BHS in the sale for £9 it was a balconette bra and a thong and it is beautiful - even though I know the only thing my partner will be doing when we get back to our room is sleeping. I really should save it and shove it on the morning but I've bought a really cute ivory chemise thing so I guess that will do.

Ive got the pants & the string to match my bra so all I will be doing at nite will be changing the bottom half into the sexier string.

I couldn't really go braless as I've lost some weight and it's all gone off my boobs so I defintely need something to boost my bust because otherwise, the dress will be gaping at the top.

I think i am going to go for comfort, get a seamless Ultimo boost bra maybe? I'm not sure!! I need to bite the bullet and get trying on Smiley sad

The Ultimo strapless bra is ok as it has a lot of gel in it. I would go and try it on and ask the staff for help as that's what they are there for!

I had a lady come in the other day for her wedding underwear, she came in on Monday and her wedding was on Friday!! ?

I have exactly the same problem- I lost too much weight, the dress couldn't be altered any more and it all went from my boobs! So I had cups sewn into the dress, but they still make the top gape. I have just bought this- http://www.ultimo.co.uk/shop/low-back-strapless-removable-gel-1125?clid=1421 Not the most attractive thing in the world but the back doesn't show through the dress and it stays up better than most strapless bras (plus the gel makes my boobs look bigger at last!)

Hope you find something, it's made me really miserable so I know how you feel xx

I would really recommend you try putting a clip into the top of the dress, which clips the dress to the bra. It eliminates the gaping and is a really simple solution! Ask your seamstress, she should know.
