Sorry I'm planning a 2011 wedding!

But let me tell you its never too early to get started. Two venues I looked at had already booked my desired date!

I kinda felt like I started too soon... but its soooo exciting! I cant wait til all the buzz sets in with a year to go!

It's usually a bit busier than this on here, but it's been a bit quiet of late. I'm a 2010 bride but there are two 2012 brides-to-be that I know of on here - Ooh La La and Deliciouswitchchild, so I'm sure they'll pop up to say hi when they see your thread, they are lovely ladies!

It might seem early at the moment but time really will fly by, me and my OH got engaged in 2006, didn't start planning till 2008 and now I can't believe I have under 10 months till the wedding!

I wanna start with the arranging and booking of things but people wont even give me quotes because its so far in advance.

Wow thats sure gone fast for you, how did you cope and not get too excited by everything. Im already bursting and wanting to ask my chief bridesmaid and bridesmaids as i already know who i want. Me and OH already have a venue in mind and have been to see it but when i look at things and tell them 2012 they are quite patronising. ☹️

It's strange really, I was obviously really excited at first but as it was about 4 years away there wasn't really anything we could do wedding wise. So we decided to have an engagement party seeing as we'd have to wait quite a while for the wedding - that was really good and gave me something to organise and look forward to. Then at the same time I was still at uni so I had a lot of essays, finals and then my dissertation to keep me busy so it was quite good I didn't have the added stress of planning a wedding.

In 2008 I'd finished and was looking for a job so that was the perfect time to start planning things especially with a full time wage coming in (once I'd got a job!) and since then it really has all just whizzed by!

With venues it depends, I know with our venue they have just opened the diary for 2012 so some of them do get booked up that far ahead! It does vary though. The least you can do is request a few brochures and do a bit of budget research to see what sort of costs you're looking at.

As for bridesmaids, pretty much as soon as we had our engagement I asked mine, as I knew who I was going to have straight away!

Hi were getting married 4th August 2012 seems like an absolute lifetime away. Im so disappointed we couldnt have it 2011 but budget has made us do 2012 ☹️
