Newbie - any date twins 19th May 2012?

Hello everyone,

Been looking on here on and off for a while and thought I'd better say hello!

Been engaged for an absolute age - nearly five years but only set a date this year as we have finally saved up some money. Getting married in church with marquee reception and cannot wait! Trying not to organise too much too soon as want to enjoy doing it over the next 10 months but have sorted all important stuff like venue, photographer, band - wasnt sure about this one but its a Scottish wedding and its seems more traditional where we stay to have band rather than DJ/disco.

Think I've chosen my dress too


H2B is so laid back about everything and thinks I'm planning too far in advance but I dont care I'm having fun!!

So thats it for now, any words of wisdom gratefully received ?

    Hello and welcome ?

    Im not a date twin but thought i would say hello and welcome. My H2B is laid back too and sometimes think that weddings organise themselves!!

    Hope you enjoy the planning as much as i am - thats all i seem to have on my brain at the moment!!!

    Hi there,

    Doesnt it feel like ages away?! I keep flipping between wanting it to be sooner and then thinking I'll not know what to do with myself once its over! Sure it will come around quickly enough though.

    Not sure whats next to do, probably sort bridesmaids dresses once I've made my mind up on colour scheme - cant decide between royal blue or burgandy!

    Ah Yes the honeymoon ?

    This is the only part H2B has shown any interest in so far - it even determined the wedding date!!

    H2B is a whisky fanatic and there is a whisky festival on Islay, Scotland the week after the wedding and so thats where we are going! Its not quite a relaxing beach holiday but I'm actually looking forward to it as its something completely different.

    Hello and welcome

    Am another 12.5.12 one. Although wedding in Cornwall am Scottish so wearing the kilt, having a piper and theme from Braveheart before my B2B arrives.

    Islay will be stunning at that time of year. Good luck ?

    Yay another date twin!

    1pm on the 19th May 2012, CANNOT WAIT.

    I don't actually get the time to come on here a great deal these days but i'm sure i will be more frequent the closer the wedding gets.

    I've pretty much sorted everything except for the bridesmaid dresses and mens suits. A few bits like order of service, table plans etc to do nearer the time. I know what you mean about not wanting to organise too much too soon. I had most things sorted by Feb this year and now i feel a little like i'm going to be sat twiddling my thumbs until Feb/Mar next year!!!!!
