Newbie Here! Anyone having Coast Allure Dress in Thyme????

We have already tried contacting Coast. They will be re-stocking the dress but not until end of June - too risky for us to wait that long! And it will be available via the website only, not in stores. The only size available now is 6 and I'm a 10 - would happily buy a larger dress and get it altered though.

Fingers crossed there's a bride on here who managed to get the dress for her BMs, is getting married before July and would be happy to sell it on.

I had a similar experience on the Debenhams website. The item I wanted was sold out in all sizes but when I called they were able to order me one and delivered it to me ?

I suspect though that our best chance will be to find a bride who is having this dress for her BMs and would sell one on after her wedding.

Have you tried the good old bay of e? I bought my BM dresses from Monsoon and they pop up on ebay all the time (nice to know, just incase!)

Try the coast stores in debenhams - they are sometimes a little behind - other than that if its any help i saw that dress in cardiff about two weeks ago - so i would think they are still stocking it.

Have been on ebay practically 24 hours a day in the last few weeks!!!

I am certain that one of these dresses will show up on ebay sooner or later but am trying to be a proactive as poss for my sis in law, trying every idea I can think of - hence joining Hitched - in the meantime we're looking at other options but you know what it's like when you've seen the perfect thing, nothing else is looking quite as good for her.

Thanks so much to everyone who contacted me last night with ideas. I've spoken to Coast again today and they confirm the dress is completely sold out and not available again until the end of June (and still no sign of one on Ebay!) ☹️

Anyone around today with any other ideas - are you having this dress for your April/May/June wedding and would be willing to sell on afterwards???

Yeah we've tried EVERYWHERE!!! There are some lovely similar dresses out there but unfortunately none that are off the peg. She wants a particular shade of green and a chiffon dress.

We're scouring ebay for similar things all the time and I have a dressmaker on standby who can make any alterations necessary.

I'm trying to stay hopeful for my sis in law that we'll find an 'allure' dress somewhere so that she can have her MOH (that's me!) in the dress she really loves. But if it's not to be then we will make do with something else, I would just love for her to have exactly what she wants.

Since it has completely sold out there must be lots of brides out there who are dressing their BM's in this dress - I'm hoping one of them might be on Hitched???!!??

I can't help with your current predicament as I don't have one I could lend out, I don't have one at all in fact. Just wanted to say with an attitude like that, you'll make an amazing MOH! She's a very lucky girl to have you!

Have you checked out some of the cheap shops like new look or DP's? They tend to do some kind of knock off style! If you have a dress maker i'm sure they can adjust it a bit!

I'm having very similar dresses for my sisters who will be my bridesmaids - they're called Melba and they're from Coast too and thyme green, but shorter than the Allure and with a satin sash around them. Otherwise, very similar. My younger sister would have preferred the longer style, but as you know is not available in the shops and sold out on the website. ☹️

Bought a size 8 for younger sister in Debenhams in Brighton on a day out and staff were very helpful and helped me to track down a size 10 for elder sister in a local store.

Don't know if this is any help - can't post pics because they are being stored at elder sister's flat at the moment, but let me know if you want any more info...

Tanya77 the Melba dress looks great! Found it on Debenhams website (all sold out though!) but I will contact Debenhams and Coast about it tomorrow. They describe the dress as mint green though rather than thyme, would you definitely say it was more of a sagey/thymey green than a mint green - unfortunately in the photo on the Debenhams website it looks grey so it's difficult to tell what colour it really is.

Hi sameeraraa - that is a help actually! I've been on ebay and forwarded the dresses to my sis in law - she said this morning maybe she should go for a different colour and apart from green her other favourite colour is - turquoise!! So you never know, maybe she'll be happy with the allure dress in a shade other than tyme green.

I know it's hard to tell the colour from website pictures, but my Melba dresses are definitely thyme green! That's what it says on the labels! And after reserving one in size 10 and having a mad dash to pick it up from the store, my sister and I found another in the Debenhams 10 mins down the road from me! So I know there's a size 10 available out there if you're desperate! ?
