Thank you, i have bought brides maids and flower girls dresses, booked church,venue and meeting photographer next week and also bought the in day invitiations. My sil is a hairdresser and she will be doing my hair for me.

Hi yes its all very exiting, getting married in a church then the reception at a local hotel and the evening do at the local WMC.

For my dress i think i would like something long, slim and with a little train on the end, i have saw one in BHS (is the camille beaded bridal gown).

Looking for ideas on center pieces tho!

Getalaced - its not that far away, i feel the weeks are shooting past! What have you organised already?

I'm also a week before - getting married on the 8th. I feel very disorganised compared to most getting married in October. So far we've booked the ceremony venue, the registrar, booked the car and have organised a friend to do my make-up. Also currently in negotiation with a photographer. Feel like i've got a long way to go - especially as i'm really struggling to find a reception venue that me and my fiancee agree on within our budget!

MrsBradley2B - You sound really organised, my SIL is doing my hair and im doing my own make-up as im way too particular!

Going to pop out to buy some evening invitatons today and then i can start to write my invitations tonight. I have also booked to see my photographer on tueday (altho i know he is exellent as he done my SIL's wedding 2 years ago.

We chose the 1st of october as its my h2b's 30th birthday too, so it will be a joint celebration! and he wont have an excuse to forget our anniversary.

Im having a brides maids dress trauma as i ordered these beautifull dresses and they were a bargain but they were way to short when they arrived (more like a party dress) so the search continues.

Iv got my ceremony venue booked, my reception is still only provisionaly booked (they have messed us about big time, been waiting since july last year to get this years prices, only got them 2 weeks ago, were going to pay deposit next week when other half is off work!) my flowers are sorted, venue dresser is sorted, there doing our table centres, evening decs, table runners etc., cars are done.........iv got pretty much evrything sorted now, just need to give notice and start my dress in may/june and make my flowergirl dresses (im a corset maker lol not just crazy) im just putting my invites together now ready to post next month........getting really exited though! cant wait to start my corset, just franticaly training to lose the rest of my weight before i do!how are you gettin on?

Oh your doing well! I have book my TOG this week and sent out my invites, and in 2 weeks im going to try on some dresses although not planning on buying till about may/June time when i have lost some weight (8lb lost thus far). I have been looking at flowers but not yet decided and i think im going to buy some lovely glass vases from Ikea and do a run to Morrisons for some bouquets of flowers and fill them for my table decs and surround with tea lights. Also my sister in Law is lending me her Veil and tiara and both are gorgeous.

Oh i like being a date quad! How are all your plans going? I am slowly but surley getting there, just made a ticker and cant believe its only 7 months and 3 weeks away, pannick is setting in now!

Hiya FB (sorry, I can't bring myself to call anyone "fatbride"), we're plodding on - most major things are under control, but I'm driving myself daft trying to find a harpist though. Ooooh - my phone has just rung to say my wedding shoes are in the store!!

Oh you must flash your shoes when you get them!

And i hope to not be a fat bride by the time it comes! I a 16/18 now and would idealy like to be a 12 but realisticaly im looking at a 14 and ive lost 8lb already (been dieting since 4th Jan), actualy looking a my ticker is making me not want to eat crap because its a stark reminder of how fast its approaching!

I have not even looked at shoes yet, i just know that they wont have a huge heel because DP is about 2/3inch taller then me and i dont want to be towering above him in the photos.

Good luck Allgold! Im jealous that you are 1lb up on me lol. I have been tring to diet for years but this has definatly giving me the kick up the bum to really do it.

Ah yeah join the club hun, I've dieted for years too. Time to really take it seriously now I feel. I may even get a ticker on the go for it.........
