I occasionally lurk, however I haven't posted since at least the middle of last year.

I'm 31 and live in Birmingham.

Maybe this will be the start of me contributing to OT a little more...

I mostly post on BT but have lurked here on and off. I work from home some evenings so tend to hitch/procrastinate then. I suppose I justify BT to myself as I've had a lot of help and advice there over the last couple of years, whereas coming on here felt more self-indulgent. But at baby2 is due in July and I will probably never get to go out again I think maybe a bit of self-indulgence is in order.

I have a shockingly low post count for someone who has been registered for so long. In my defence I dip in infrequently but will try to do better...

In 29, a journalist, living in the East Midlands. I got married last year but found WP little too sycophantic for my liking. OT is more to my acerbic tastes.

I lurk here for most of my working day. I do post, but only when I can genuinely contribute something inside my sphere of knowledge. I've never yet found another forum that has such a wide range of topics that I find so relevant to my life - I am as interested in the dinner threads as I am in the ones on complicated financial matters, although I don't always understand them.

I hope all the people who have posted today continue to do so, as it has been lovely to see so many new people starting threads (no offence to any of the more established posters).

I mostly lurk because my husband sits on the couch next to me watching TV programmes on his laptop with earphones in........

I'm pretty much lurking about all day every day but rarely feel I have anything to contribute! I'm housebound a lot due to illness so this place is my lifeline to the outside world, you all make my day far more interesting, so thank you. Have been without my laptop for the last week and didn't know what to do with myself!

I registered when planning my wedding back in 2007 and posted/lurked mostly on WP, and as soon as I got married found I wasn't interested in wedding stuff anymore. Came back a few months ago for the odd lurk now and then but have found myself drawn back to Hitched. Love the variety of posts but like others, don't feel that I have that much more to say than what's already been posted. Also it can be quite addictive and if I'm not careful will end up slumped at the computer all night!

I'm 20, with a mr delicious, who has just bought my engagement ring so i'm hoping the 'official' proposal will come soon, but we're already comeing up with ideas for our wedding. I'm a student, studying history, living in lincoln. i love books, and am so into my historical films and tv series. Also love waking the dead and have ALL the box sets. And at the risk of sounding like a complete freak, i love Harry Potter too!

I'm 37 and from North Wales and started on WP as we got married in Dec. I now flit between OT/BT as have a 2 year old son (and still wondering whether I want another one!).

I've lurked for about a year now. I don't have any children or cats(!) started out lurking on WP and moved as soon as the wedding was over!

I love the variety of this place and feel like I know people, but never manage to say anything inspired! I promise to speak up soon!

Hello, I've been a luker since my wedding planning days over 4 years ago. This place helped me plan my wedding then taught me most of the things I needed to know when I became pregnant with my little girl. I am a pretty long time lurker, started reading on here when my sister got married. I have posted occasionally (very!) but alwasy managed to kill threads and the like....hopefully will start posting a lot more in the future. Always think far too much about what I want to write then feel I shouldn't post it in case people don't agree...I just think too much in general!

Hello! ? I am a final year PhD student living in London and studying/working in London. This would be me then - I am a very sporadic poster and have been on hitched ages but lack the confidence to join in more as I am dyslexic and sometimes phrase things clumsily when writing (and worry about saying the wrong thing).
