Night before the wedding

ColetteG, 28 February, 2010 at 17:47 Posted on Planning 0 18

What do you have planned for the night before the wedding? I am CBM and will be staying the night before with the bride at her house. Her brother will be there too.

If you are having the night at home what do you have planned?

TIA

We have the rehearsal at 4pm, then I thought we could go for a relaxed meal, something like pizza express, then home for maybe dvd (Australia?) and early night.

Night before my wedding we watched a Peter Kaye dvd, was very funny, esp the wedding sketch.

I am really excited about the night before and plan to have 3 of my bridesmaids stay over mine with me. I want to make a bit of a thing of it as its your last chance to savour those last few bride-to-be hours!

At the moment is it 4 weeks before the wedding. We had hen night last night, dirty dancing matinee then champagne, cocktails & dancing.

The bride, other adult BM and I are going to a spa for the day the wednesday before the wedding. I think the bride could do with some relaxation!! I am booking her a massage.

I will be staying at my venue with my maid of honour and we will have a nice relaxing evening. Nice meal, glass of wine, set up the tables (when the last guests have finished dinner) and dressing the rooms and laying out everything for the next day! And of course finalising everything on the phones! Cant wait!!!!!! ?

For some reason, I thought inviting the wedding party (Best men, ushers and partners plus our families) over to my parents the day before for a BBQ would be a good idea!

I'll be staying at my parents the night before but their spare bed is so uncomfortable! I'll be making sure I have plenty of DVD's to watch through the night!

Were staying at the hotel the night before the wedding so me and my mum and BM's will go to dinner at the hotel and the boys will go for a curry down the road i suspect.

Is it just the night before the wedding your not meant to see the groom or is it the whole day?????

I'll be staying in an apartment with mum and my CBM, we having the wedding in Belfast and we live in Manchester so might go out for dinner with the girls - but could turn messy and dont want to be hungover for the big day so will prob have a quiet night in maybe a last minute pampering session with wine and chocolate! I wont be seeing the OH for a few days before! the wedding!

My OH doesn't want to see me for a couple of days before!! He says it will be more special!! ?

We're both heading over to Bristol seperately on the Thursday after work so i won't see him from the Thursday morning. Friday is a day of doing stuff, all planned to avoid eachother.

The night before I'm staying at a hotel and a few of my guests will be there too. I'm planning to go out for food and drinks somewhere in Bristol (D will be in Clifton) and then head back to my suite maybe ?

I really want a chilled out one the night before, don't want to get carried away and have too much to drink or not enough sleep and have bags under my eyes on the day!

I'll be staying at my parents with my CBM and my aunties will probably come round for a couple of glasses of wine too - this is what I'm slightly apprehensive about as it could easily get messy, so that with all of the excitement will take a lot of will power for me not to get pished! ?

The day before my wedding was spent rushing around getting my bridesmaids dresses, my dress and taking the corsages to my nan and my mil.

The night of the wedding I spent at my mums house with my mum, brother and my 1 bridesmaid. The older bridesmaids were meant to stay the night but unfortunately one of them had to work.

We had a takeaway and a bottle of champers and just had a girly night chatting and replying to the zillion good luck text messages I received. I was so glad to have them there but I was so nervous and excited I just wanted the next day to come.

We are taking over a small hotel in the middle of Dartmoor so i will be having a meal with my parents but breaking with tradition i will be spending the night with my H2B, i have been told and read that it is him seeing the dress and not me that is bad luck so as long as that stays safely tucked away we are fine. We also plan to have breaskfast down stairs to great those people who have travelled along way and to calm both our nerves before we both make our way to sepreate rooms to get ready.

We are travelling up to manc 2 weeks tomorrow (eek!!!)

that gives us all day weds to run around like headless chickens and tie up loose ends, thursday i'm NOT doing anything weddingy (I reserve the right to change my mind about this nearer to the time!) I'll be at MIL's, and OH will be at the hotel he's staying at. He's going to be meeting and greeting people who are coming on thursday and taking them for drinks etc. I'm taking MIL for a relaxing pedicure in the morning then in the afternoon my mum and 3 BM's will be coming to MILs where we will be having fish and chips mmmm and some girly giggles and a not-too-late night. Then we will all be in the same place in the morning to get our hair done and get ready!!

I'm so looking forward to it Smiley heart Smiley heart
