Nightmare Mother

Hi ladies

I could really do with some advice regarding my OWN mother and my wedding. I know it's normally the mother in law who causes issues but for me, it's my own mum.

Anyway she is meddling in every detail of our wedding, from the venue to catering, to cake, to flowers, to colour scheme, everything. You name it, she wants to have her say and do it her way. Me and H2B have talked about what we want (roughly) and he's happy to leave most of the detailed planning to me as long as I consult him, which I would naturally do anyway. But my mum is telling us what type of menu we should have, disagreeing with our wedding cake design, and even the theme of the wedding. She doesn't like the colour scheme, or that we are having 3 colours in the scheme. She doesn't like that the colour I want her to wear, and so is trying to convince me to let her wear white!! She wants me to have a professional photographer for the day. We've pointed out that A) we can't really afford a photographer, and B) neither of us like having photos taken and there are only 3 professional photos we would want so it seems pointless. She then complained saying my bridesmaids might want photos with me and I was being unfair to them. Funny thing is, neither bridesmaid mind, as they know I'm photo shy. She's even invited herself along to my hen do, I have no say in the matter. I know that sounds harsh, but we don't exactly get along and I wanted a day spent with my close friends relaxing before the big day. She doesn't like that we're having plastic flowers not real ones and lots of other things she keeps making comments about. I just need some advice on what I can do to keep my sanity and stop myself from loosing my temper with her, as I really feel like I'm going to!!

Sorry for the long post
