NO SNOW please!!!

Navy_girl, 30 November, 2010 at 02:18 Posted on Planning 0 4

Am I the only one who doesn't want a white wedding?? I'm sure it would look beautiful in photos but all I can think about is ruining my beautiful shoes and having a soggy wedding dress! Plus the thought of transporting all our guests from far and wide! Gives me something new to stress about I guess1

Your groom will have to carry you! seriously it will be a great story to tell about how it snowed when you got married, but then it could be gone by then

    edited to add.

Take some shoes or wellies for the outside bits ie walking from the car and practice hitching up your skirt with help. Brides in wellies make great photos so get some fun ones like these

The photos would look fab. Have you got a shrug to stay warm? Get your bridesmaids to look after the back of your dress. I like the suggestion of wellies - and of course the groom carrying you.

If you are using a wedding car (especially if it is an old one), it might be worth contacting the driver to make sure that the car is running without any issues with the snow and getting them to arrive earlier than originally scheduled. Also make sure that they have a local taxi number handy or that you have another guest with a snow friendly car on standby. Always good to have a back up plan with weather like this!

(We always take these precautions - although I am happy to say that our own four wheeled friend has always started even in weather like this!!!)

I'm getting married on friday and although we have not yet had any snow I am really starting to panic that we're going to get it the day before or something and all the people we have travelling to us won't be able to make it.
