Non-flower table centres - help please!

MrsShark, 14 February, 2011 at 14:07 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hello lovely Hitchers,

The theme for our wedding is the ocean and I have been given a load of seashells that I would love to use for the table centres instead of flowers but not sure how?

The images I have found that I like are these;

What do you think?

    This is exactly what we are basing our centre-pieces on :o)

    If you struggle to find starfish, this company is great www.dorsetgifts.com but advice - dont get starfish too big or else they dont fit in the top of the bowl

    Belinda that all looks fabulous! We always wanted to do the seaside theme as we both love the sea and our venue overlooks the sea so it made sense....but I was trying for ages to mix both seaside AND a sort of country fete feel but it was just getting too confused so decided to go back to basics and just concentrate on the seaside theme!

    Now I am really excited about putting it all together and really love the ideas you have come up with….funnily enough I was just looking at those pictures for the cake (I am a cake-maker so am doing our cake!) and thinking about doing something similar….but just trying to figure out how long it would take to make all those seashells!!

    Thank you again sooooooo much for all the piccies!!

    I love those table centres with the shells and star fish, our theme isnt really seasidy but we are having ceremony on the beach and have invitations based on that, i think they would look lovely with your theme too, this is the link if you want a look, the website pics really dont do them justice, she hand makes them all and did a really fab job with them.
