Hi purple Lillies, less than a year to go for you then, that's very exciting.

Jessie, yes I am having two BMs and we also have a female usher to buy dresses for. Hoping to get the same dress but BMs in pink and usherette in navy blue to match to boys' suits. I quite like some of the bhs dresses and the shorter styles are curently half price but they only have odd sizes. How about you? Have you had any luck finding anything?

I'm having three and a flower girl, I'm after pale pink colour dresses preferably lace or with lace detailing. I just want to get them from the high street but it's hard with the sizes because my oldest bridesmaid is 19 and youngest 13, not had a good look around yet though that is going to be next on the list. LOVE pink & navy together, we were going to have those colours but having pink and grey now.

Purple Lillies - also love Newton Hall ❤️

Katie80 we've booked SDS too, I love their style! They're pretty reasonably priced compared to others of a similar quality.

That would be great! I don't know anyone else who has used them so it was a bit of a punt. I loved the photos on their site and decided it was worth the risk!

Is anyone getting married at the Biscuit Factory in Newcastle? X

I'm having an absolute nightmare with the flowers. The wedding colours are purple with a secondary colour of hot pink. Apparently purple (unless it's light or plum) is a terrible colour to try and match flowers for. I was hoping to go with funky flowers but I saw them at the metro arena wedding fair today and she basically told me she couldn't do what I was looking for. I've been in touch with the wild bunch aswell, they did my friends wedding so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they can help. Have you organised your florist yet? Where are you getting married? I'm a big nervous of the photographers being there in the morning because I imagine I'll be a total highly strung emotional mess but I always like the 'getting ready' photos x

Thanks Katie80, I love the colours but people keep telling me purple is the worst colour you can have with the exception of blue, for matching dresses etc. I'm struggling to find bm dresses aswell, everything is pastel! Ooh I know someone who has just been married there, it looked lovely on the pics. I've never heard of that florist which is surprising since they're based at my venue haha. I'll definitely look into them too, thank you.

Sevenyear we're having our whole day there, ceremony and reception in the biscuit room. Did you know they're having a wedding show there tomorrow? I think they're behind on their room though, I heard they have weddings booked in there for this month and as far as I can see from their blog it isn't finished yet! I love the venue though. Something totally different! When's your wedding? X

I can't recommend anyone for flowers I'm afraid as my fiance's cousin is doing ours. Well I say she is doing them but all she has to do is my bouquet as we wanted to save money and not really that bothered about flowers. We are making paper button holes and my BMs will hold fans instead - do you think it is OK that the only flowers will be my bridal bouquet?

Thanks alot for the florist tip ladies, the flowers on her site look great and her prices look good. It'll be handy having her already based at the venue too! We're meeting in the next few days to discuss the colours, flower panic over! X

    Hi north east ladies!

We are hoping to organise a church wedding in Newcastle city centre, so we're looking for a reception venue not too far away.. And I'm really struggling for places that aren't silly money and let you have a lot of free reign deciding your own food and drink (we love good food and drink so menus with yet another chicken breast and a bar serving Stella are not going to cut it on our wedding day!) Does anyone have any suggestions?? We are very early stages considering we only got engaged last week haha! But I don't want to wait until summer 2016, that's nearly 2 years away!

Would be really grateful for any suggestions for a wedding planning newbie like me! Xx
