North East Brides

Hello hello! I live in London but will be a Northumberland bride. My OH is from Northumberland - we plan to get married in his local village church and then hold the reception in a marquee on his parents' farm.

Agree there are lots of beautiful venues in Northumberland - we looked at Matfen, Slaley, Bamburgh Castle (beautiful but very inconvenient ceremony times!) but in the end decided to do our own thing - much to my peril I am sure as we navigate the planning stages for a marquee reception! We are getting married next September so hope the weather will be kind to us.

Have you been engaged long? We have been engaged two months and although we only set the date today we have chosen our caterers and marquee provider.

We've been engaged two years this christmas and been together over 8. Always planned on 2011 wedding though. We've booked ellingham hall for end of jan/feb. Your plans sound lovely, im sure the weather will be great!

Hello! We've booked Linden Hall, we live in Newcastle but wanted a country house wedding. That's about as far as the planning's got really!

Another North East B2B! We were all booked up for the 24th August but our wedding's currently on hold at the mo as we've just moved into our first home and all our money is going on that! Hopefully we'll be getting married in 2011, though nothing planned yet!
