Just wondered where any northerners are having theirbweddings, and if anyone has reccomendations about dress shops?

I admit to being the proverbial bargain hunter - but there are quite a few dress shops around. We tried on dresses in Manchester where you can quite easily line up appointments at Debenhams, Berketex and then nip into BHS on a Saturday! But once I'd found my dress that was it, Blackburn also has a couple of very expensive shops and Burnley has a new one. But we did a couple of Wedding Fayres too.

Not too sure what's about in Blackpool as we didn't need to go there but I'm sure someone else will be able to help you there. Just remember that Debenhams is the same pretty much wherever you go, as is Berketex so do your internet research so you can line up a few places without finding yourself looking at the same thing wherever you end up.

Im a northener! I'm going to be having my venue in Chester if all things go well! In a very swish hotel and celeb chief restaurant! all at bargain prices!

I'm in Liverpool, originally from Manchester, and so not too far away! We are getting married in Formby. We saw some lovely smaller hotels when looking for venues at some great prices / packages and there are plenty of options where you can save some mone. Good luck with your planning xx
