Not sure where to start

sarahjolley, 23 February, 2011 at 21:11 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi everyone

Not been on much since I have joined but really gonna try harder as reading all these posts motivates me to get organising.

Anyway I am getting wed sep 2012, so far booked venue and TOG and got my bridesmaids dresses but now not sure where to start?

I want to book and pay for stuff as I go along so I dont end up with a massive bill months before the wedding,

So what do u think should be the main things next to do? I feel a bit lost!!

Hi- I'd say book the registra next (unless the venue covers this) as they do get booked pretty far in advance.

After that i went to visit florists as they also seem to get booked up quick but you will probably need a theme/color scheme etc for this- I'd start a mood bored and looking for ideas on the type of wedding you want and go from there- it all starts to fall into place believe me!!

When i first started planning i was like a rabbit stuck in the head lights ? i now have loads of lists of what i want and work from them, once i had a rough number of guests and the colours i wanted it seemed easier ?

If its your budget that you worry about, list down all the companies/services and jot in the amount you paid/will pay them, organize them according to deadline. this way you'll know which needs to be paid first. but it would be so much better if you can pay what you can pay now, so everything will be official. Smiley smile Goodluck!

    Hi Sarah,

It sounds like your plans are starting out nicely.I agree with the last post a budget is always a good start for a plan of action even gathering quotes from various companies etc.
