Getting married in church in Weybridge and reception in Cobham....in 20 months today ?

Yay for another Epsom bride ? We have looked at 4 or 5 venues and there are a couple we really like but it's pushing what we are able to save in the time we have and also we are quite concious that it's easy to get carried away and forget that it's good to have money left to use for things like a house deposit or holidays. I know this area is probably the worst place for cheaper venues. Wouldn't be so bad if we only had a small group but we've been over our list and they're all people who are important to us and we want to spend the day with them.

Dorking is lovely, plus easy to get to.

Anyone looking for a venue should contatc their registry office - they'll hold a list of approved venues that they will forward to you.

Lots of local people! I live in Dorking and getting married in Dorking with reception in Betchworth. I work in Leatherhead, and originally gave notice there but then plans changed so no notice needed.

I think we may be venue twins Fiona as my venue is in Betchworth and there aren't that many venues there ?

Im an old married now and got married at Horsley Towers in Guilford/Leatherhead way.

Taz and Surrey lass if you are looking for a wow venue then i would defo recommend Horlsey Towers.

We origionally thought it might be out of our budget based on their prices on the website but we haggled down to over half the price off.

We paid £1,000 for exclusive use of the venue and then £40 a head for the meal.

The venue was amazing and we got loads of freebies thrown in.

I'm getting married in emsworth, my reception is at the tithe barn in petersfield and my first night hotel is the park house in midhurst.

I've been to a couple of weddings at Horlsey Towers and they were amazing, can thoroughly recommend them too!

Whoop! I'm in Bucks - Milton Keynes to be precise. We're getting married at the Parkside Hotel in Woughton on the Green.

We're getting married on the South Oxfordshire/Berkshire border - neither of which I'd class as the South East!

Oh I went to look there but they didnt have marquee up and couldnt give me much info but it looked fab on all the photos I saw, so I decided on just down the road, Highfield Park

Oh Highfield is stunning, we did look there, but they already had a wedding booked for our date and we did not want to share. The Hook house has stunning gardens, and with 30 Kids at the wedding we could needed somewhere from them to run around, also we will have the whole place to ourselves, which made the decision for us.

Yep we have 30 kids too!! EEEK ... what ideas have you got for entertaining them?? Im getting a mgaician and some of the girls from my sons nursery t o come and look after them , the hotel are providing a tv dvd lol!! Most of our kids will be 7 and under too

Highfield only have one wedding a day, so Im surpised they said you would have to share? Unless they have changed that recently as I am not till 2012.
