Hi,

Me and my H2B are going to give our notice of Marriage on Monday and I had a quick question.

Does the 15 days that the notice is up for include weekends and bank hoidays?

Thanks in Advance!!

I would imagine it's counted as calender days but don't quote me.

It is 15 calander days and then you can pick up the certificate that day or any time after.

I am not sure if it is calendar days - we had our notice appointment on 25th March and were given a card when we left to say the certificate would be ready to collect on 12th April so by my calculation that is 12 working days!

In England and Wales it is calendar days. The certificate issued on the 16th day unless that's a weekend and the office is closed. The first day is the day after you give notice so if you gave notice today the certificate would be due 23rd but as closed for Easter prob not issued until 26th.
