I'm doing ok i think. Also waiting for RSVP's but put the end of August so there's a bit of time yet. I think the main things to sort are the food (been in touch with venue and they said this will be discussed the month before) and sitting down with the vicar and sorting the order of service (he said we'll arrange to get together in about 6-8 weeks time). We need to sort out the men's suits but know what we're having and they go to be measured the first weekend in October. The other main thing to sort is our rings. Other than that it's just little bits and pieces i think - thank you presents, make table plan, place cards and OoS's, make centrepieces.

When in November do you get married?

Ahh 1 year ago. At least you've got 6 weeks planning to do. I work part-time so I'll be busy these next couple of months with planning too. We'll have to keep updates on eachother!

    *waves*

26th November is our date and like everyone else cant believe how quickly it is coming round

Sent our invitations out week before last, and have had 3 RSVP's - mum n dad, and 2 of my kids (wh live in same house) so am itching for postal ones to start arriving, but we did put 1st October as deadline, perhaps a bit late really Smiley sad

We have our rings, bridesmaid dresses (which are not the colour shown below, cant get pic of them in them yet lol), flower girl dress, Best man and my dad have been measured for bm suit and my dad is having kilt. H2b is currently losing weight so waiting a while, as are my sons (waiting that is not losing weight lol)

I go to get measured for my dress on 15th September, 1st fitting 2wks later and 3rd 4 after that with pick up 2 weeks before wedding

I am itching to sort out order of Service but vicar says we will meet in few months - a few months - i will will be pulling hair out by then lol

We are starting to price out sweets for out sweet table

I have lots of little pressies for my BM, and for the men ie my 2 sons and my H2b son who is his best man, and i have gifts for them all to receive on morning of wedding, as well as something for my mum and dad

FLowers are sorted, as is the booking of the preserving of them - flowers need to be collected day after wedding by courier.

I am struggling to find chair sashes in the right shade of purple so am considering having white sases and top table swag with deep purple calla lilies in the bows.......will be chatting to florist again soon to discuss it

Think we are at a bit of slow moment, am sure things will pick up soon and before we know it we are old marrieds Smiley winking

    Just a few things

Not a bride... but Carmen is too busy to post! lol

We're getting Married on Nov 5th.

I collected our invites last night... will show asap! I was a bit worried Carmens mums name was mis-spelt.. but all is ok!

Time is marching on, and I'm busy most weekends at the moment.

Our venue has an open day in Sept, so we'll pop back to check some housekeeping "issues" have been done! (GroomZilla on this one! lol)

There are a few things left to sort out, and to be honest, the biggest problem is cash, but I hope that should sort itself out in the next month or so..

It seems like we're all pretty organised! Most my weekends in August seem pretty busy but hoping to get a few bits and pieces sorted here and there.

I'm gradually pick up little bits for presents for my bridesmaids and the groomsmen.

Hoping to hear that my dress is in soon, i went to be measured at the beginning of June.

We've got a week away on the broads booked for Oct half term, as a wedding present from OH's parents, so we can get away and de-stress before the wedding. It will also give us chance to celebrate my birthday, a little early, but i fear that it's probably going to just disappear this year as its the week before the wedding (4th Nov), which doesn't bother me really as it's just a reminder that i'm another year closer to 30!

Good luck with the rest of your planning girls and guy! Keep in touch.

    Hello fellow November brides!

I joined hitched a few months ago, then left, but keep reading all the time so have decided to join again - especially because with just over 3 months to go I am even more excited than before!

I am sending my invites out over the next few days with an RSVP of 8 October. I have a dress, venue, DJ, photographer. And a spreadsheet full of all the other jobs, but feel pretty relaxed and think everything is under control. Maybe I am kidding myself!

Looking forward to hearing more about your plans (and actually contributing instead of just lurking)

I sent mine out at the end of april so i've given this weekend as the rsvp date for daytime invites and the end of sept for the evening. I've still got about 25 people who haven't replied though.

Everything is going ok i think. Ordered our rings on Monday, the only other main thing left to sort is going to get the men measured for their suits and they said that we didn't need to do that until the first weekend in October. Everything seems to be comign together though. Smiley smile

78 days to go now!!! Eeeek!!!

We're still waiting for some RSVPs... some of my aunts have told my mum - but we're yet to see anything from them. They have 1 week, then I'd really like to start inviting more close friends!

We had our engagement shoot last weekend, and are viewing them on Tuesday. The shoot was in Waltham Abbey park, so some nice varied options.. and the sun was out!

    Hi November Brides!!

Im wondering if you could help/advice me!
Im looking at changing my wedding date from June to November to save money!

Are any of you worried about the weather?? If so have you done anything to make sure it isnt an issue??

Why did you choose November?? Im thinking of the 10.11.12 - cool date as well!!

    Thanks

Hi Excited bride. I have just posted on your other thread, but to answer your specific question about the weather, we have chosen a venue where there is no need for anyone to go outside once they are there - everything is happening all in one place. Some venues we saw involved walking outside from the ceremony venue to the party, for others you really needed to use the outside space to get the most out of them. If there is a bit of sun and we can have a few photos outside (taken quickly!) then great, if not, then not to worry. I guess we might also get some umbrellas, and I, and my bridesmaids, will need some kind of coat / bolero thing which we might not have bothered with in the summer.

I wanted a nov wedding cos it gets dark early and and if its cold will have open fires etc etc- our venue only gave a 10% discount for it being a fri wedding and being in november so not much diff price wise with the rest of the year!

    Hey Ladies

Ive only just started using the site again so thought id pop by and say hello to my fellow november brides...

    19th November for us....eeeeekk 11 weeks..excited doesnt even cover it !

As far as i can tell im pretty much done with the organising part now, just the wee fiddly bits like make my table plan (its organised just need to make a few tweeks and make the official copy once my rsvps are all back) speaking of RSVPs im only waiting on 10(ish) coming back now and most of them are apparantly lost (how cheeky Smiley surprise) so they have all nicely been told they better find them as if my mum doesnt recieve them by 16th sept then they arent having a meal Smiley smile

Also got to finish making placecards, favours and bridesmaid thank you/memory books.
