Finally getting round to this amongst all the other things to do post wedding! A MASSIVE thanks to everyone who has responded to my posts and assisted me with my wedding plans. I had the most successful day and was lucky to have the most reliable and brilliant suppliers - those below who are all on Hitched.
Photographer: Chris Barry (www.chrisbarry.co.uk): Chris was truly brilliant and I couldn't have asked for a better person to be involved with my wedding day. From our first consultation he really put us at ease. He brough whole portfolios of weddings (rather than just the best shots) and talked us through his style. He called a few days before the wedding to talk through the day and reassure us. He arrived on time and spent some time in my room whilst I was getting ready. He wasn't at all intrusive and understood when we needed time out to make final preparations. He was magic at working with my guests and I know he was happily snapping away without being in the way. He took myself and my hubby off for quiter moments for some shots in the gardens and had some great ideas on what shots to take and different compositions. All my guests commented on what a nice bloke he was and he really made everyone feel at ease. I haven't yet seen the final photos, however, he showed me a few shots through the camera lens and these looked brilliant. I will be sure to post some of the pro-photos or check out his website in a few weeks. Thanks Chris for making the day flow so easily and for being a perfect photographer! I have recommended him to two other friends now...one of which was there on my day.
Florist: Georgina Parks (www.bygeorgebespoke.co.uk): Georgie was wonderful in helping me decide colours, flowers and choosing blooms in season. She worked well within my budget and the results were gorgeous. I had a real natural 'country' blooms theme with bucket pales for the tables filled with peonies, roses, sweet peas and freesias alongside several garden herbs and sweet smelling fauna. The bouquets were also gorgeous and really natural looking. Georgina even gave us some spare roses that she had on the day. Some of my relatives left the next day with a table display in their hands and I know they were pleased to be taking away such a beautiful display of flowers. It was so lovely knowing I could trust Georgina to deliverr such a great service and it was lovely to see her on the morning of my wedding and get a 'good luck' hug...a truly personal service!
Cake: Debbie Bone (www.debbiebone.co.uk): Again though a post I placed on Hitched, Debbie responded and offered to work within my budget to supply a cake. I was so impressed with their communication and what I saw on their website I also ordered a cake topper which came out brilliantly. The cake was very simple and elegant and exactly as I had wanted and my guests were really impressed with the cake taste and quality (Chocolate and victoria sponge layers). The cake was delivered with great care on time to the venue and looked truly amazing!
Stationery: MrsKitty - Jo (website tbc): I contacted Jo through Hitched and she was brilliant at coming back to me with design ideas and suggestions. We worked through my invitations (daytime and evening) and Jo sent me some card and ribbon colour samples to choose from. Then she was brilliant at sending me proofs of the designs to approve. When the final invitations came I was bowled over by the quality and designs. They arrived in a well packaged box, wrapped delicately with tissue paper and bound with ribbon...she'd even sprinkled confetti in the box which was a lovely touch. I was so impressed I went on to order tables name cards and menus for the tables in the same style. These arrived in quick time and of the same top class quality. Jo even sent us a 'good luck 'card which was a lovely personal gesture. All the guests were majorly impressed with the stationery and the invitations gave them a taste of things to come for our wedding day.
Jewellery: 'Purrfectgems' Lyndsey (www.lynseysdesigns.co.uk): Although I changed my necklace at the last minute, Lyndsey designed my bracelet and a couple fo other pearl and crystal necklaces for me using some photos and pictures I sent her. These were made with such great care and detail and such a reasonable price. It was great having such personal service and great quality.
As I haven't yet got round to sorting my photos, I would welcome any of those listed above to post some photos of my wedding bits and pieces!
Thanks again to all these 'Hitchers in Business (HIBs)' - my day would never have gone so perfectly without them and I am truily thankful for them and the ability to have foudn them via Hitched!
