number one child has now moved hospital.....

swampytiggaa, 3 July, 2008 at 16:56 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 15

they came to collect her from the childrens ward at about 1-15 to transfer her to the specialist unit. the unit rang me just before 3 to tell me that she was there - unpacked and settled. She will continue on the 24 hour watch for a while so they can assess her properly.... they have been thru her stuff and removed anything potentially harmful.

so - onto the next stage of her treatment i suppose - will see her at the weekend i think

<brave smile> she is in the best place for her at the moment and will get better from this - i am sure she will <brave smile>

thanks again for your thoughts and wishes and vibes xx

Sawmpy what everyone else has said, no need to be brave its a horrible horrible time for you all... but she is in the best place and having gone up a year last year has lots of time to get better without missing out on too much so as they say one day at a time

I think you're all being so brave. It's great that she knows she needs the help and is able to accept it.

Hugs to you Mrs, you need them.

have just spoken to the unit and to elizabeth - she was quiet last night and didn't eat any tea [mind you my mum had been force feeding her in the hospital so she was probably full ? she has eaten breakfast and started chatting to people.

so now i know she is settled and getting on ok - why does that mean that i am closer to having a good cry than at any other time during this? [barring saturday night and hearing her tell people in the hospital that she wanted to die obviously]

gah - am going to settle baby in front of cbeebies and go and have a bath i think..... have a bit of me time and try to get over my miseries before victoria comes in from school.

Probably because you know she's settled and ok ish and being looked after by people that know what they're doing and so in a funny sort of way she's safer and you can let yourself relax just a little. ?
