I have thought about re-training to be a Nutritionist. Looking in to it, it seems the area is quite confusing and there are various titles...Nutritionist, Nutritional Therapist, Dietician...with varying degrees of training available. Initially I looked at doing a Nutritional Therapy BSc degree, but the medical profession don't think much of Nutritional Therapists, as they believe Dieticians have better, more evidence based training. Nutritional Therapists (i.e. the Food Doctor) are not Dieticians and cannot claim to be, and are seen as 'alternative therapists'. I'm interested to know if the general public (i.e. Hitchers) would know the difference between a Nutritionist, a Nutritional Therapist or a Dietician and if you would or have at any time, been to see one, and what you thought of them? thanks!!
