I'm getting married on 6th October 2012 and here's what we've got so far:

Save the dates - sent
Venue and Registrar booked
DJ booked
Caterer booked but not chosen menu
Cake maker booked but not chosen cake
Dress ordered (but no bridesmaids dresses yet!)
Photographer booked
Met the florist but not yet booked
Rings ordered

I still have so much to do and I don't have a colour theme or bridesmaids dresses yet!

Where is everyone else up to?

Good luck to all those left in October Smiley smile

I had a great day, very weird as I have dreamed of it so long, and it felt like a dream Smiley smile I was so stressed leading up to the wedding but as soon as the venue was all set up I calmed. Until I was walking into the ceremony it didn't feel real, but during was so lovely and amazing!!

Everyone said they loved the attention to detail and I had thought of everything, the flipflop/slipper basket and toiletry baskets were a real hit Smiley smile

Our photographer was amazing and just sat us in a place and let us chat which was amazing but I hope the photos are good, I do trust him.

Well ladies, I was back and then I wasn't and now I am again- the last couple of weeks since the wedding have been very busy but we're settling back into the everyday routine now and back at work which is dull as dishwater.

Just wanted to pop on to wish those of you who are left on our little thread the best of luck for your big days- they WILL be amazing!

I've posted my report now, there's a link in my signature below but I warn you it is llllloooonnnnggg so I'd maybe just look at the pictures ?

Welcome back! great report ! I especially liked how 'to the point' your husbands side of it is!

thanks for coming back. I forgot I had some date twins and so I did think I would be the only one left here!

not long to go now. Have arranged to drop things at the venue on Weds, so need to get a shift on with getting it ready instead of watching willy wonka!

Back at work today which sucks as it's back to reality... however it does mean back at a PC so I have done a mini flash thread!!

    https://www.hitched.co.uk/chat/forums/p/346584/3132175.aspx#3132175

Wedding photos on there ladies! Thought I'd do a quick preview of some of the photos ? I'll get my official ones in 2 weeks then do my report then!

On the other hand we're all moved in to our new house, got pretty much everything but waiting for our sofa whice comes Wednesday... sitting on garden chairs until then! Hubby has started his new job today and had a horrific stressful morning before he even got there so think he's going to need a few beers and a bath tonight bless him.

Back to reality with a bang today! xxx

Mini report looks gorgeous Nat! Glad you had a really lovely day and that all is going well in the house. I'm sure once hubby gets settled in his new job things will be a lot easier.

Had a very productive weekend. All birdcages are (nearly) made up. Have added the lights etc. Sorted boxes out to transport them to the venue on Friday. Have had a card box made at work so will decorate that tonight. Got wedding rings sorted and had my engagement ring dipped so it is all sparkly and new. Have restrained myself from wearing it this week so it stays perfect and it feels so strange not having it on! Took cake ingredients to my friend who is doing my cake, took photographer to venue.. all in all sorted lots of little loose bits out!

OH did suggest that on Friday (which is the only day I have off before the wedding!) we go to Alton Towers. Trying to move my nail appointment so we can go as I think this will be the perfect way to have fun as on our last 'single' day and also take our mind off everything! Just hope we get everything sorted before then!

    xx

So October brides.. after going to our venue on Sunday it did occur to me that for outdoor shots my shoes are probably going to be trashed.. even if the day stays dry the grass will most probably be a bit damp.

    What are you ladies doing??

    Flats, wellies etc? xx

Natalieexx - Lovely pictures and I can't wait for the full report. You look amazing and Hubby looks very proud!

Sorry you are back at work, but at least you get to 'play house' when you get home, which is good fun - even moreso with your flatpack furniture!

This weekend I finished the placecards and got some bits for the table plan. The bloody guestbook is still blank, I can't decide 100% on what I am doing! Eek! Apart from that, everything is pretty much all ready to roll. I have to just actually pack things etc and make sure I have everything up together for wedding, honeymoon etc. I am taking things to the venue on Weds, which means I have a less stressful Thurs and Fri as all should be in place. Friday H2B and I are going for a childfree lunch and then he is dropping me at the hotel. I get 3-4 hours to myself and then my BM will arrive.

Thinking about outdoors and shoes, I am not sure what I am going to do really. I figure my shoes will get trashed anyway? We are an indoorsy wedding, so will only go out for pictures if it's dry. Although underfoot will be damp. I guess I wouldnt mind them wrecked in terms of grass stains, but probably wont be comfy if they are sodden? I have got some standby converse wedges that I got in case my H2B wears his custom ones (which I wont know until the day!) Dont fancy carting them about really in case we have outdoor pics, but then again, that could be my BM's job!

I think the weather should be dry and a bit brighter than today, but colder. I bought a random wrap in case I need it if we go out, but hoping H2B will just give me his jacket.

Thanks ladies - I cried most the morning but once I got to the venue and started my makeup I was just super excited! The whole way through the ceremony I had the biggest grin on my face but hubby cried which is not like him at all! It was lovely Smiley smile

My shoes got ruined Smiley sad ivory satin heels and most our photos were taken on the grass. They kept sinking into the ground and I can't get the mud and grass stains off! I did buy some white havaiana flip flops for the evening but me being me, I left them at home! xx

My shoes weren't very expensive either but I just don't want them to be soggy! They also have open toes so I don't fancy muddy, grassy, soggy toes either. Might buy a pair of converse or wellies.. or just take my regular dog walking wellies!!

Hoping the weather is a bit better than today.. grey and miserable here. When we went to the venue yesterday it was lovely! We got there at 11am and there was a slight fog but it was clear and brightened up. We are having an indoorsy wedding too (I think you have to in October!) and reception and ceremony are all at the 1 place so will just be outside for photos so won't be too bad either way xx

Hands up who has done something silly just before the wedding?

    Just me?

Oh yeh, closed the garage door on my head last night. A proper bang and it really hurt. I now have a nice L - shaped cut on my head. I think my hair should cover it on Saturday, but still, not very clever.

On the plus side, I don't think I have concussion / delayed concussion?

Oh god hope you're ok!! I was so scared I was going to do something like this! 5 days before my hen do i managed to hit myself in the eye with a childs carseat (God knows how) and I had a huge yellow and blue bruise all round my eye for a week. Good job I have strong concealer!!

Lay in a bubble wrapped room until your wedding!!

Oh no! Poor you. I opened the car door on my leg the other day and was left with a cut, bruise and a sore calf! Luckily my dress is floor length so it won't be seen.

I am just waiting for something to happen as I am the CLUMSIEST person you could ever meet! Went to get the box of sweets out of the cupboard a few days ago to put the favours together and dropped them all over the worktop and on to the floor.. OH just walked in and shook his head haha. Wasn't overly keen on them anyway and have now bought loveheart sweets instead! xx

    Anyone here?

my head is a lot better and you can barely see the cut. Yey! Dropped off a load of stuff at the venue yesterday but still got a few bits here that also need to go with me on Friday. I haven't packed anything for the hotel, the minimoon or for our son to stay with my Mum. I have until lunchtime tomorrow to do everything so I'm currently very tired and running around like a headless chicken!

oh, and to top it all off I think I have the bad sore throat OH had the other week. I think it may be slightly better on Saturday, but I bet with all the talking I lose my voice.

Anyone else panicking about how much they have to do?

It will all come together MM! We have lots to do too but are hoping to get it pretty much all done tonight so we can relax tomorrow!

Had a nightmare yesterday arranging where OH's daughter was staying etc but all seems to be organised now. Also had to sort out a dog sitter as everyone that he could have gone to was coming to the wedding and I don't really like putting him in kennels unless there really is no other option!

My friend is making the cupcakes today. Managed to find a cake for the top tier in a big Tesco.

Also need to get some make up bits (waterproof mascara etc!) but think I will sort this on Friday.. Nearly there girls!! How exciting! xx

Glad I am not the only one with tons to do!

Looks like your work have given you a good send off Smiley smile

TOG just emailed for list of shots (oops, forgot to send one sooner) so OH just checking through that now.

Slow cooker making tea for tonight so thats one less thing to worry about for now. I have got to stick bits on the table plan, pack things, do more washing (2 loads done aleady), and other faffy bits. I have time to kill at the hotel Friday afternoon so that is when I am going to do Thank You cards, which saves me having to worry about that as well.

Ive sent Mum on a mission to get some pumpkins and decorate them for outside teh venue. Not Halloween decoration, I mean flowers and candles or something. I would like to have DIY'd it, but not got the time nor the energy as I was up from half 5 with the little one!

Randomly found myself painting biros with red nail varnish at half 10 last night! Guestbook pens. I did finish the guestbook. Did you see the flashes on another thread?

I better go refine this TOG list, I am trying to do it so it doesn't take ages, but there are so many shots to get!

We haven't given our TOG a list.. just told him 'the usuals' and to take lots of natural shots!

To be honest at this point I just want to be married and have a party. Bored of faffing over tying bits of ribbon here and sticking bits of glitter there! The end result is going to be the same either way! Smiley smile Feeling very happy and chilled out today. Off out now to get my nails done on my lunch and then off to the pub tonight after work for food and a few send off drinks! xx

Ha halove that! make sure you use a reliable tan though, nothing worse than last minute streaks!!

If you want to lighten the colour up a bit shampoo it a few times with head & shoulders, it strips the colour slightly (not huge amounts) and will help it to fade a bit quicker. it won't make much difference but may take the edge off! xx

Popped to see my Mum earlier and she did an amazing job with pumpkins! They have our initial on and fairy lights etc. Sounds random but looks good.

Man it's getting cold out there now. I wouldn't mind so long as some sun came out?

Did a quick test of make-up earlier and realised which of my 2 shades of foundation I need, i.e the one that doens't make me as brown as a jacket potato! Also did a quick play with my hair to be sure of how t will work and it was fine (considering my hair was in desparate need of a wash!)

Got a lot of packing to do later. Have already packed child and dog things, but need to do mine as well. OH has to do his own as I have no energy to do his as well.

Good that everything is coming together. I just keep thinking that this time tomorrow I will be all alone at the hotel and probably having a bath and watching TV. Well, that and writing ALL my thank you notes for Mum etc for the wedding day.

    Sooooooooooooooooo excited though. Woop!
