October 2012 brides - how is the planning going?

We so should! Great idea! Can't wait to read everyone's! That's what I was waiting for, I had it all prepared ready for when the photos came! Speaking of which, I was so impressed with them, they are stunning! Gutted that having the photos means its officially all over though! Xx

Hi Ladies!

Sorry for being AWOL. Have been enjoying the past 2 weeks being an OM before returning to work today.

Had such an amazing day. Was freezing cold but the sun was shining and no major hiccups! I do think that all brides to be should have a dummy wedding just so you realise how much of the little things completely don't matter. Would save so much stress/ time/ money!

That being said I really wouldn't have changed anyway. Was such a lovely day. Still waiting for professional photos too but once these are back will try to put a report together! Looking forward to seeing other peoples.

My professional photos are taking ages - still got about 2 weeks to wait!! So annoying as just want to see them to relive the day

Mine came back within 3 and a half weeks ? one of the reasons we went for that TOG! They are so lovely to look back on ? anybody else feel like you've been married ages already?! The wedding feels like a distant memory! It's 1 month on Wednesday! We've treated to ourself to expensive fillet steaks from Waitrose as a celebratory dinner ? xx

I haven't been on much and have been waiting for my professional pics before doing a report. Still don't have them yet Does anyone know what the usual turn around time is for TOGs?

We were given an initial estimate of 1st or 2nd week in November but still haven't heard anything yet. I chased on Friday but have yet to receive a response.

My sister did take hundreds of photos as she is an ex wedding photographer, and she gave me the files at the weekend. Unfortunately she shot them in raw format and hasn't had time to process them. I don't have anything on my computer that will read them either!

Wedding feels like a distant memory for me too! First day back at work and everyone is asking questions etc... feel like it is old news now! haha

Aww how nice Nat! Celebratory fillet steak! We will have to do something on our 1 month anniversary How is hubby's new job going? And how is the new house?

My hubby has started a new job today.. on a temporary measure! Has a few job offers but not starting for 3-4 weeks so he needed something in the meantime to make ends meet. Getting a secure job at the minute is proving to be a nightmare for him! Hopefully after a couple of months of stable wages we will be sorted and can start planning a delayed honeymoon! We did have a few nights in Chester at the first hotel we ever stayed in Was super lovely and really romantic!!

Lee, is there any software that can be downloaded to be able to transfer the files into a readable version? Failing that knick your sisters house key and do it on her PC! ? I'm not sure how long TOGs usually take I'm afraid... I know some can take a few months! Can't you ring up and ask for an estimated arrival date?

Sam so glad your hubby has a job! Congrats to him! The hotel in Chester sounds nice, we didn't manage to get away anywhere in the end - too much going on! Also spending so much making our home perfect I doubt we'll get a honeymoon for at least another 6 months at the very earliest!

H is enjoying his job thanks, it's really long hours and he has to start work at 5am but the money's good and it's work! The house is gorgeous, it's weird how it felt like home straight away. Nearly done with the decorating now and all our money has gone into buying little bits and bobs and it really is looking lovely, we both love our new home ? xxx

Know the feeling - it feels like months ago. Though I am still not used to using 'husband' or anything like that lol, people keep reminding me and are more excited by my name change than I am. Shame I am not more romantic

I have very few photos that have been sent to me from the wedding, I think people assume I have loads but I really don't! I keep raiding peoples cameras and phones for them

I want to say normal turn around is 2-3 months, but I cannot remember where I have got that from. Mine will be just under 2 months if they come on time, but hten my photographer is moving to Brazil mid-December so does have a deadline

We came back from visiting MIL to find a CD from our TOG sitting on the doormat! He said 2 weeks, and it was 2 weeks on Saturday

will have a look later and try to do my report tomorrow. It's about 9pages in Word, so I need to cut it down a bit!

Great stuff! Still can't wait to see mine. At least another weeke, maybe more according to the tog

Woo glad you've got the photos! can't wait to read the report! I thought mine was bad enough, think it was about 4-5 pages on word before the photos!

You will probably have to make the photos smaller to be able to upload them, I don't have a clue how to compress them so I ended up doing screen shots with the photo open and cropping and saving it in Paint! If it hadn't taken so long I would have flashed so many more lol

Pics arrived yesterday! Still need to go through them all but they are looking good - I will try to get some up shortly. I also managed to download a 30 day trial of software to convert my sister's pictures which I need to get on and do but have so much on at the moment!

I'm off to read MummyMoo's wedding report now!
