I'm getting married on 6th October 2012 and here's what we've got so far:

Save the dates - sent
Venue and Registrar booked
DJ booked
Caterer booked but not chosen menu
Cake maker booked but not chosen cake
Dress ordered (but no bridesmaids dresses yet!)
Photographer booked
Met the florist but not yet booked
Rings ordered

I still have so much to do and I don't have a colour theme or bridesmaids dresses yet!

Where is everyone else up to?

Wow, that really isn't long to plan a wedding. Good luck! Like others have said, give us a shout if you need any help - everyone is very helpful on here.

As for me, things are going ok. Have sent my passport off, so should hopefully get that back before we fly. Received the final invoice for the chair covers today, so got that to pay off. I need to arrange altering my dress, but I already have a dressmaker in mind for that. Cake, food, drink etc is all sorted. It's just little bits now like table plan, gifts, flowers etc.

    It's so exciting!

I am a 12th October Bride - My bridesmaid dresses just arrived Smiley smile There is actually 4 now just to go round to each to check they fit (fingers crossed). The dresses arn't quiet as bright as they look below

And saw a old friend last night I haven't seen in a while, who I have always said I wanted to sing at my wedding - so even though its getting on for time I decided just to ask and see and she said yes Smiley smile So excited and shes been messaging me about songs today! And as her sister is now going out with a guitarist an extra invite and he can accompany her!!

Thank you both Smiley smile I am really pleased with them, they were a good find and I think worth the over budget cost - Ordered them from the US to save a bit on the cost!

Got to love a bargain, - well done Sloth!

Have got wedding ring shop making a wax cast for my ring today - I have a very distinctive engagement ring so need a shaped ring. That wasn't on my to do list but can cross if off now! H2B & I are taking paperwork to reg office next Saturday so can go back and check on this and hopefully order his ring then too. Tomorrow's job - must ring dressmaker. Ordered long sleeved shrug thingy from ebay today too - if it doesn't work it was only £16 so won't lose any sleep over that. Ooh and also designed invites today and brought card to print them on - think we'll be doing DL size so can get 3 invites to a card, with map & accom information on back. And happy news - old school friend from France can make it and friend now in NZ is over week before for work so we can have a nearly wedding party with her ?

Does anyone know anywhere good for underwear - need a corset type thing to minimize jelly belly (am only a 10/12 but this is lingering!), bit of boning for cleavage essential (have straight across strapless dress) and would be nice to have a bit of lace but nothing too fancy, not lace up as have lace up dress, would be nice to have something I could do myself! Less than £100 for corset and matching undies - is that reasonable!?

Take it easy, everything will all be right, maybe now you can consider the flower girl and wedding shoes, or wedding theme, i think beach wedding ,or church wedding or vintage wedding is all good, you said that your bridemaid dress haven't bought, you can have a look at the woweddingdress website, there are quite a lot of bridemaid dresses, you can have a look

Dress left at dressmaker for alterations, picking up in 2 weeks - £45 ? so dress including alterations £135, bargains! The other brilliant thing about getting the dressmaker to do the pinning in needed shows that the light boning in the dress would be more than enough for me to get away with a really good strapless bra and some stomach holding in pants a la Bridget Jones, hmm, is it possible to get sexy versions of these?!

Shrug arrived and think will do the job to - need to double check when dress is done, will try it on when I collect the dress - the dress has a lace up back so it's quite tricky to try on without help to work out where shrug is going to sit iykwim.

Had massive wave of inspiration on way back from dressmakers about my something old etc - am going to ask mum to lend me Grandma's pearl necklace and wear my other Grandma's art deco diamante lizard brooch. Neither are still with us but they'll be with me in a few weeks?. Blue I guess am going to have to get a garter, if they make them thunder thigh size.

Also made appt at hairdressers for the Friday for highlights and cut.

Change of plan on the invites - H2B doesn't want to home print them so back to the Vistaprint design we did which handily they sent me a free delivery thingummy today. Will let him off for not wanting to print as he visited hotel to start ball rolling on block booking of rooms and after party catering.

Boys suits - where do I get nice trousers and waistcoats from for a 1 and nearly 3 year old? Not in the shiny grey suitlike stuff I saw a toddler walking into the village church in earlier either, looked really cheap but I so bet wasn't!!! Am thinking linen / chino type material?

Oh and added somethings to list - music! A 6 hour ipod playlist for the reception and 3 tracks for reg office. How tricky can that be? And flowers, oops, so obvious but only just remember them today but we'll only need my bouquet and button hole for H2B as venue has really nice fake displays in 6ft high antique urns so anything else just won't compete.

    October 27th here too!!

We have loads to do and are completely disorganised.. Venue booked and paid for, food chosen (just the vegetarians to choose), know who the cake lady is but haven't chosen cake, booked DJ, dress in for alterations, have BM and flower girl dresses, have centrepieces but need to put together

    Need to do;

    Book photographer

    Choose Music

At registry office on Friday for notice to marry

    OH's passport

    Flowers

    Hair accessories

    Few little extra touches

    Confirm wedding car

    Rings

As I said.. still a million and 1 things to do! Help!! We have had job losses etc to content with this year and were actually toying with the idea of cancelling a fortnight back but OH has started a new job today and we are trying to be upbeat and positive about everything! xx

    And a million

    Morning guys!

Well, this weekend was very productive. I've done all of the gifts and packaged them, boxed them ready for handing them out on the day. I've started on the table plan, I've customised the postbox and I've started the placecards.

    It's all very exciting!

Got my hen this weekend and I cannot wait!!!

Hi, I'm an October 7th bride, still pinching myself that I'm going to be marrying such a wonderful man, and that it's really not that far away now!

Luckily we're mostly sorted, my bridesmaid is having her dress fitting for alterations this Saturday, I'm off shopping with my mum tomorrow for my underwear and itching to get the call from the dress shop to say my dress has arrived. I picked it last November and only seen it in the flesh once since then so can't wait!!

Our church is reading our Banns for the first time too this weekend, really looking forward to this especially as it's our two year anniversary this weekend.

Im off work for two weeks so looking forward to getting the table name signs and card box made and customised, then just making a playlist of all our favourite songs to be played during the reception.

    Getting nervously excited already!!!

I have my hair trial on Saturday, I'm meeting my florist on Monday and I've booked the meeting with the Tog for sometime in September. I have LOADS to do, so much I don't even know what. There are about 17 lists of To Dos in my house and they all say something different!

We've just found out that OH (in the Army) has been posted from Suffolk to Hampshire 2 weeks before the wedding so incorporate "get married", "go on honeymoon (which is a surprise!)" with "pack and move entire contents of life into boxes and leave family, friends and jobs" into 2 and a half weeks. I'm so glad we paid as we went because without my jobs now, we'd be ruined if we had a loan!

    Meh!

Really don't feel like it is is only 6 weeks away or that it is actually my turn to be the bride!!! Mostly having swings of feeling in control and completely feeling like I'll never get organised - and typical now is when work gets busy!!

I'm feeling relaxed and excited - if it's possible to be both.

I'm getting through my to-do list relatively quickly, which I'm chuffed about. Slightly annoyed we have outstanding RSVPs but what can you do? Will have to chase them next week.

It's my hen this weekend and I'm so ruddy excited!!!

I'm feeling excited and nervous!! Everytime I think about it (which is pretty much every 30 seconds!) I get butterflies! ? I am not nervous about marrying OH, just nervous about things going wrong etc. I jsut want our day to be perfect!

We picked and paid for our rings on Saturday and I am going to pick them up at lunchtime today. Smiley surprise) Soooo excited about that!! We slightly under budgetted...by £900!!!!!! ? Oh well...we'll just put money back in the pot after the wedding! Need to get a different ring box though coz the one they come in is a bit naff.

I started bagging up chocolates for our favors last night...we're going to Vegas for our honeymoon so our favors are chocolate playing cards and chocolate poker chips!

I also had the wrist corsages delivered yesterday and I am really pleased with them. We're not having flowers so the corsages are feathers with crystals.

I also got my niece's flower girl dress and my nephew's trousers and waistcoat and they fit them both so that's another thing off the list(s)!

My sister has her dress fitting next week.

I need to finish my brooch bouquet after my mum dismantled it! That is next week's job.

We've nearly completed the Ceremony form for the Registrar. Just need to decide on the recessional song which will either be When Love Takes Over (David Guetta/Kelly Rowland) or Higher & Higher (Jackie Wilson) and then that can be posted off.

We went to the venue on Monday and met with the TOGs to go over shots and places to shoot etc and after that appointment, we met with the Venue Dresser and went over the look we are trying to achieve.

We also did our Gift List at John Lewis which was great fun!

Hen weekend this weekend!!! It's all a surprise! I've been told I am being picked up at 12noon, to pack an overnight bag; to get a 50s outfit for Saturday night and bring something "trendy" for Sunday. I don't need to pay anything, just need spending money! I'll be back at 5pm on Sunday. Can't wait!

We've something like 38 days/5 weeks ? but everything appeears to be coming together. Just scared I am missing something.

    xxxxx

Venue confirmed booking and also Vistaprint confirm invitations have been shipped - productive day and didn't actually do anything!
Still trying to find flowers to really inspire me, now I've started looking I do want something but pretty much everything I've seen is just too flouncy for me, and local florist didn't inspire me at all!
Wow, less than 2 months and I'll be a married woman, eeek!

Oh well, tis meant to be for a lifetime isn't it!!! Will order tomorrow when we go back to chose H2B's ring and just ignore the £££!

I convinced/forced the boy to get a titanium ring for 31 odd pound as I overspent on my ring Smiley smile hahaha (I am not convinced he'll wear it/he can't for work - as other reasons for this decision, not just be being selfish Smiley smile)

I do agree the ring needs to be right and is worth the money!

Hi Sloth, I think we're at the same stage more or less...... Got my passport back from having my married name put on it a few weeks ago, Bridesmaid is having her dress fitting/alterations in the morning, our gift list opened a few days ago and have set this weekend aside for crafty wedding things with the OH, and Hen weekend starts a week today too!

Also having our Banns read for the first time at the church we are getting married in, and it's our two year anniversary tomorrow!

Still feel like I have plenty of time but only 5 weeks and a few days away.....!!
