I'm getting married on 6th October 2012 and here's what we've got so far:

Save the dates - sent
Venue and Registrar booked
DJ booked
Caterer booked but not chosen menu
Cake maker booked but not chosen cake
Dress ordered (but no bridesmaids dresses yet!)
Photographer booked
Met the florist but not yet booked
Rings ordered

I still have so much to do and I don't have a colour theme or bridesmaids dresses yet!

Where is everyone else up to?

Ha Sloth, like your budget resolution plan! As it happens, h2b had chosen a titanium ring with an inlay for bit over £200 so not so bad overall. Unless you include the massive steak lunch we had afterwards, definitely budget blowing but he owed me as his job this morning was to bring passports to reg office to give notice and while he did pick up 2, turns out one was his but other was our 2 year old's!!! have to go back on Monday now!

Lol - hence why I don't trust boy with jobs like this Smiley smile We gave notice this weekend, for some reason boy decided to forget everything including my birthday (which he knew in the morning), where we are getting married and the borough that is in!!

Fantastic! My bridesmaid's dress only needs taking up, and she liked the headband that I bought on a whim so all good there! Also had our photographer (who is one of OH's best friends and one of the two best men) come to church and our reception venue yesterday to scope out the light and shots etc.

Where are you going on your hen? I'm going to York this weekend for some chocolate making, tapas and cocktails! :-)

We're doing Friday night at my house (I have to let them in to 'decorate' - this scares me) and Saturday is in London with a activity, dinner and night out. Evening outfit is 'day at the races'. I also know the words 'chocolate' and 'cocktails' as those have slipped out - apart from that been kept in the dark. Scary and exciting Smiley smile

So maybe it will be something like you are doing - sounds good!!

eek, it's like 51 days away!!!!! Much to do, much to do!

Invitiations arrived by courier yesterday evening so that's tonight's job (and seriously abuse the office franking machine in the morning!) . Will be collecting H2B's suit today. And must follow up more local hotel who might be able to do us a better deal than the local-ish Holiday Inn, or at least match it but it's a much more convenient location. I brought my necklace and bag on Monday too, decided the something borrowed pearls wouldn't be long enough. Still need to get shoes and underwear. Infact, need to do underwear before Saturday so can try on with dress as collect from dressmakers on Saturday. Must finalise caterers this weekend too.

No doubt you are all way ahead of me in sorting things but I can do this!!!

So with 37 days left, I had an epiphany last night and have decided that I don't just want family and bridal party to the breakfast, I want some of my oldest friends there too. We've just invited a further 20 people up to all day.

I'm so pleased but so annoyed with myself that we didn't just do this originally. Nothing like leaving it all until last minute!

I'm now excited. I've been excited all the time but now I'm REALLY excited. OH gets back from Operations on Sunday, he's been away since May, so the countdown can properly begin.

In other news, I looked at the account last night and we're under budget so we have honeymoon spends too Smiley smile

Hope everyone is doing well. Can't believe how quickly this is all going.

What is everyone worrying about the most?

We have bumped some people up too, however only a few as it starts getting political! Getting excited now. But I MUST sort out my centrepieces - I still have only half an idea of what I am going to do!

Jalapeno - you must be jumping up and down with happiness with your OH coming home!

Worrying about people not turning up! And on a practical level, cocking up the catering / booze calculations. As we've got a hall hire, there is no bar/restaurant to help out if we run out so am probably going to massively over cater. Mind you too much wine I can cope with, it'll keep our home wine rack stocked for a while!

Walking down the aisle is the only thing I'm bothered about because when I'm nervous my face goes bright red so I know I will be like a tomato!!

I'm just about stressing about everything right now. My family are stressing me out so much, I feel drained and exhausted. I'm worrying about things I know are going to be fine. I'm worried that I took on too much doing this whole DIY thing.

31 days!!!!!!!!!!! OH MY LORD!! 1 month tomorrow!

I am so exicted yet so nervous too. We've bumped up people as a couple have dropped out but so happy that we have been able to do that. Although I've been having trouble with a friend...firstly dropping out the hen now dropping out my birthday and has, today, said they may not be able to come to the reception because of baby sitting probs. Honestly, it fucks me off, they had the invited in MAY!!! I'm slowly finding out who my friends are whilst arranging this wedding and quite frankly those who are stressing me out aren't worth it!

ON A HAPPIER NOTE...I picked my dress up on Monday and mum is safely storing it at hers. We need to add the belt to it but will do that in the next couple of weeks. My sister tried on her dress and it just needs slightly altering and mum is gonna pick that up next week. I got the kids outfits bar shoes for neice and shirt for nephew. OH needs to get shoes, shirt and tie. I've been getting the place cards ready with the favors this week and they are looking good. I had my hen weekend - we went to All Star Lanes in Bloomsbury Square but not before having a 50s make-over!!! I am the one in the yellow dress:

I am yet to finish my bouquet but will be doing this next week and need to finish off OH's corsage. We have to pay everything on Friday!! Can't believe it's nearly here!!

Right the hen weekend is here - on one hand so excited, on the other I have to get through work tomorrow morning (which I had booked off but had to change due to stupid amount of work) its a surprise so have no idea what is planned and it means I might finally feel like its me getting married!!!

Just really hope I do relax as have been on edge with the amount of work and wedding lists.

Does anyone else slightly freak out at the idea of actually being married?!? Really we've been together 5 years nothing is going to change, but its slightly weird going to be me in a wedding dress and then a wife!!

Mostly excitement to get this weekend underway!! (And drank a little to much wine)

Lots of hen weekends this weekend! Have a fabulous time ladies!

And Ali G- I could have written that post myself, that's exactly how I feel at the moment too.

We have our final meeting at the venue tomorrow so I'm hoping that once we have asked all our niggling questions and had a run through of the day with the co-ordinator then I'll feel a little more confident that everything will be ok.

I've got my final venue meeting tomorrow but OH can't come back this weekend!! Stupid army! Smiley sad so I'm taking my mum and BM along instead.

Other than that everything is pretty much sorted... got an email today to say our favours have been despatched so should receive them Monday - excited! Rings were supposed to come this week but I had a phonecall saying they weren't happy with the quality of mine so it's being remade -slightly worried about this!!

And it's my hen weekend next weekend! I can't wait Smiley smile hows everybody else doing?

Have fun all those that have their hen this weekend! xxx

Productive weekend - booked caterers, sorted deal with local hotel and purchased wedding shoes for bloomin bargainous 14 quid in Next sale!!! Was out shopping in Croydon and popped into Next on total random off chance as have bought party type shoes from there before and found some lovely lace platform stilletoes but they only had them in store in wide fit which were too wide, they were priced at £32 so when the assistant said they were available online still in normal fit thought fab but when I actually ordered them, turns out they are last season or something so were even cheaper. Collecting them on Wednesday so will be walking around in them a lot at home for the 6 weeks as they are higher than I usually go for but they were so comfy instore and will make me 4" taller Smiley smile

Made it back just about in one piece from the hen do. It was such an amazing weekend.

We went to a comedy show on the Friday night and then out for drinks. Was meant to be a quiet night but we ended up doing a lot of shots and all got quite drunk. Saturday I was dressed up in a cow costume and we went quad biking which was awesome.

Then off back to the apartment where the butler in the buff ?arrived and we played some party games.

Then it was off out for a night on the town where we danced until 4am!

Sounds like you had an amazing time! Love the cow costume! It's mine this weekend, I can't wait, hope I have as good a time as you did!

Had my final venue meeting Saturday and it was really lovely. I was a bit upset to be going without H2B but my mum came and it was a nice bit of bonding. And we saw a couple that had got married there the day before, and they told us how amazing it had been and that we could not have picked a better venue, they said everything was perfect and ran smoothly. That was really great to hear! Smiley smile xxx

Glad you had a great hen weekend.

My weekend was totally wedding free. There's still so much to do, but I just cant be bothered to do it!

Off to see the alterations lady tonight though to see if she can sort my dress out!

Ali_G, what have you still got left to do?

I think I may have most things under control now but still need to do the seating plan and sort a few other things out.
