I'm getting married on 6th October 2012 and here's what we've got so far:

Save the dates - sent
Venue and Registrar booked
DJ booked
Caterer booked but not chosen menu
Cake maker booked but not chosen cake
Dress ordered (but no bridesmaids dresses yet!)
Photographer booked
Met the florist but not yet booked
Rings ordered

I still have so much to do and I don't have a colour theme or bridesmaids dresses yet!

Where is everyone else up to?

OMG where is the time going?!?!! 27days accoring to Hitched!! I dunno if I can keep up with this feeling of nervous excitement!!

So we paid our the venue balance on Friday (as numbers stand) as well as the cake lady and my beautician. Gonna settle the Venue Dresser's invoice tonight.

I've been doing a lot of printing and think I have finshed the table place (on paper) and I have nearly finished the favors and name places (all-in-one!).

OH got his shirt, tie (and hanky), new pants and aftershave on Saturday and has put his trousers in to be "enlarged" a little. He tried his shirt, waistcoat, jacket, tie & hanky combo on last night and I nearly cried. He looked to smart, handsome and FIT AS F*CK!!! ?

I got some card and bits from Hobbycraft yesterday so will get on and finish the table plan.

    xx

I actually had to print their names off, cut them up and physically move them around on my living room floor. Did my head in.

My friend gave me her software she bought for her wedding, it's called Perfect Table Plan and it was about a tenner, it's amazing! It has really helped me. it was a right nightmare trying to do it but I finally got it sorted. I tried a couple of different table planning software and this was by far the best! xx

I just discovered a day guest I hadnt sent an invite to! Oops!

Aside from that, I am slowly getting there. Not started my table plan yet, but I sort of know who is sitting together anyway.

Just the homemade bits to do now. And centrepieces. Gah. I wish I knew 100% what I was doing with them

Glad that you had a great hen do Lee!

Let us know how you get on with the alterations Ali, I'm going for a fitting on Saturday, I'm hoping that will be the last one.

Your lists are scaring me! We still have lots to do but like you were saying a lot of it can't be done until the week before- I find that really difficult to deal with being a control freak, I like to be organised in advance and having to wait is stressing me out. Everything is stressing me out and really there is nothing to stress about at all, I'm just panicking for the sake of it I think!

I know one thing for sure, I have never not wanted to go to work as much as I don't want to go at the moment, I want to be at home doing weddingy bits, spring cleaning the house, sorting out mini-moon clothes and stuff, not at work 42.5 hours a week. But, if I don't go then no pennies and no pennies means no wedding- still doesn't mean I like it though- lol!

MummyMoo- what is your plan with the centrpieces?

For centrepieces I have this, but not sure what else I am doing in terms of other bits Togo with it. I have some artificial flowers, candles and other bits. Somehow I need to incorporate a bottle or something to link with the table names. Seems pointless having a stick with the table name on when a bottle would do the same thing!

Things went really well thanks! The lady was lovely and she estimated about £80 to get it all done which I'm chuffed with. The bodice needs taking in by about 6 inches round the bust, boo for small boobs !

She also seems to think that it wont need taking out at the hips which, again, I'm chuffed with!

And now I have a good luck thread, eeeeeh!!

Have you looked on eBay for these? You can get gorgeous personalised guest books quite cheap, or plain ones to decorrate yourself! Also, we got a sign made up for our postbox off of eBay, it was £4 and it's gorgeous! xxx

I'm just sitting at my desk making little labels for our martini glasses of mints. They look so cute!

I managed to finish our Table Plan last night although I need to add a little bling to it some how!

Just waiting for some additional card to be delivered (from the Brilliant PDA Card Craft!) and then I can print the rest of the menus.

    xx

Mummy Moo- those centrepieces are lovely, so unusual too!

Ali - Glad it went well with the alterations lady, £80 isn't too bad at all. Mine needed stacks taking in off the boobs too, you could have fit 3 sets of my boobs in the bodice of mine! Lol

Shelley- The little tags are very cute indeed.

It's getting quite scary now isn't it ladies, I'm excited but also starting to get a bit nervous- not so much about the actual getting married part, but just that everything will be how I have pictured it for so long. It will be though- I know we will all have the wonderful days we're planning for!

Very exciting to see the first of the October Good Luck Threads on the front page too- that really does mean it's getting close!!!

I was just out getting my nails done, and my usual lady has left so I had a new one... We got chatting and turns out she has the same weddubg date as me, only she only booked hers 3 weeks ago!!!!

This gives her just 8 weeks to plan her wedding! How mad is that, and we think we have a lot to do! Haha!

Dont tell the bride time! Anybody else watch it? Xxx

Yeah, I wish! I've got shedloads to do and I've totally lost my momentum.

Is anyone else finding the run up seems to consist of loads of eating out with friends? 2 years I've been watching my weight for this very day and these last few weeks all I've done is eat!!

I had mine last week and was sooooo nervous because it made it feel real. I'm dreading goin to try it on next week as I have been eating so much junk food. I can see myself having a panic diet the week before the wedding!

Hope it goes well, try and get a flash if you can x

Only just registered but been encouraged to poke my head round in here.

I'm getting married Thursday 18th October - awkward weekday wedding! 5 weeks today, it's starting to feel real now.

All we have left to do is make our place cards and table plan (and name the tables!) and sort out our music for the ceremony and breakfast. OH also has to get his suit and go on his stag but that's about it. We've been quite laid back about it all so there's likely a few bits we've forgotten!

Just had the first (and hopefully the last!) planning scare!

The men went for their suit fittings back in March, and my brother who is going to be our usher works all over the country, so had to go by himself a week or so later.

Anyway, suit hire place (Youngs in the Trafford Centre branch of Debenhams) rings today saying they hadn't got my brother's measurements! I went down there to see if I could sort it, having images of my brother showing people to their seats wearing jeans and t shirt, and it turns out they had put his measurements in the computer but not saved them.

Now brother is going to have to send me his measurements ASAP, or he won't have a suit. The guy at Youngs kindly pointed out that it needs to be sorted as the wedding is quite close, which I'm well aware of thanks!

Sorry for the random pointless rant, fingers crossed this is the biggest scare we have, but you never know!

Hope evryone's last few weeks are as scare free as possible x

I was thinking about it but I'm going to be nervous and excited, and I always get warm when I'm feeling like that! Also, tried my dressing on Monday in the shop and got quite warm in it due to all the layers. I can always put on OH's suit jacket later if I need it!

    Are you having one?

I've not got nothing. If the weather is bad we won't go outside. Thinki will just grin and bear any chills, or wear H2Bs jacket.

Probably not a good idea to go spending more money!

Been for my final fitting today! My dress fits like a glove- it's perfect- HUGE relief! I've had sheer elbow length sleeves added to my dress so I won't need a shrug in theory and as you said- it's quite warm under all the layers anyway! Going back to pick up my dress (all steamed and ready to go) on the 29th!Squeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Really need to have a productive day tomorrow, sorting out all the wedding stuff that has taken over my dining room and getting it in some sort of order so it is ready to just be picked up and shoved in the car.

Hope you are all having nice weekends ladies.
